ive just brought this phone on contract for 40 pounds a month but every month you get half the money back - phones 4 u - this phone is the best - big screen - video wallpaper's its just the best i love it - if your after a new phone this is the 1 to get - trust me - thank-you

I bought this phone last week and plan to exchange it for a RAZR V3i. I just want a phone phone that works well. This phone is cool and very slim, but the construction seems a little clunky.
I do not like the phonebook at all. Very little flexibility. Nice display and very good resolution and ring tones. I also found the quality of the phone sound itself to be lacking. It just lacks basic features that a phone at this price ought to have.
I will say it is fast and the internet connection was quite good.

Hi, I was wondering if the directional keys are touch sensitive like the soft keys, or are the directional keys regular buttons like on the u600?

does this phone do the pictures in messages? i think its called vivid picture. like with the u600?

The cost in India is Rs.11000 only.
The phone comes up with an inbuilt memory of 70 MB.
The Memory can be expandable upto 2GB with microSD.
The FM radio is there,but FM reception is not as Good as Sony Ericsson phones.But,if you are in urban area,no problem.

This phone is very light and the amazing 'Tempered Glass' on the front panel of this phone means less prone to get scratch.

Got this phone for a month now. Very satisfied. It uses same GUI as U600. Some improvements over the other previous Samsung models include:
1. Big screen and slimmest slider phone so far.
2. Battery charging while connect to PC via USB.
3. Vibrate + Ring (some Samsung phones don't have this features)
4. Very good video recording (CIF resolution)
5. Radio
6. Documents viewer including HTML.
7. New NetFront browser.
8. Full screen video playback.
9. Faster USB data transfer.

Please can anyone tell me how to enable Memory card in this phone. I just bought this phone & I love it & also I got a memory card of 512MB which is inserted in the slot, but not able to transfer the content from laptop to this memory card. So please help me out to enable this memory card so that I can transfer music from laptop to the phone. Thanks in advance

can anyone please tell me if there is inbuilt memory in E840 or do we need to buy it seperately and the cost of E840 in India. Can you please tell me the difference between E840 and D840, does Radio FM exists in E840. please take some time and do let me know

if you want a samsung to go into silent mode just press # for about 3 seconds and vice versa

i did press the volume button, but instead of it going silent, it started decreasing the ringtone volume! i have used samsung phones earlier too, and thing u mentioned always worked! but not wroking in this mobile! pls help!

does this one have the same GUI as the D900i ?
does it have the same problems as d900i ?
the D900i would usually mix up contact_names
and their corresponding_number, does it happen here as well ?
is the phone slow to respond ?
can you compare the load times with the D900i ?
[just a normal,slower/faster rating would do]
is the screen flimsy ? does it become loose on usage ?
anyone had to replace ? if so, why ?

can anyone tell me if we can swap the battery of the E840 with the battery of the D900i ?
[is the size of the battery on the E840, same as the one on the D900i ?]
also, there is no official confirmation whether it has FM Radio .
do you guys keep hitting the wrong buttons
[the touch sensitive ones] all the time ?
I mean, they do seem to be placed appropriately .but, what are your views ?
Can you feel the numbers on the alpha numeric pad / can you at least navigate , without seeing the keypad ?
how long does the battery life last ,in reading mode, on the Picsel Viewer, with the phone option enabled ?

I just bought this phone couple of days ago, and its amazing. but can any one tell me how to ignore the calls without disconnecting? like the function which all mobiles have now days-the phone stops ringing, but the caller still hears the ring! also is the any way to keep touch pad buttons active all time! they get locked even while the conversation is on! pls help
