Does anyone know whether I can change the sound settings for incoming call so that it vibrates AND melody at the same time instead of the preset Vibration THEN melody when using mp3 songs as ringtone.

thanks!

I got the white/pink Samsung e870 2 months ago. I like it but there are the goods and bads to this phone. The appearance is very simple and nice, very thin and light. The settings doesn't allow you to change it to silent which i can't stand. I like how it has so many variety of languages you may choose from. The settings for wallpaper is weird and the camera pictures confuse me. But overall, i like this phone

The sim card will store 20 SMS. The phone itself will store an extra 200 SMS and i think 50 browser/push messages. It's a pretty decent memory for SMS.

I don't have a problem setting the wallpaper from a picture i've downloaded, it fills the whole screen. I've just found out how to fill the screen with a photo that i have taken myself with the phone camera (because normally there's a blue line at the top). If you open the photo you've taken, with the volume button at the left hand side press it up to enlarge the picture. Then select 'options', then 'set as', pick whether you want to use the pic as your main display or your cover display, then click on 'yes'. Then your picture should cover the whole of your screen.

As for the battery, sometimes i need to charge my battery everyday, but i've found recently that if i turn my phone off for a little while during the day, or at night when i know nobody will be texting/ringing me, my battery seems to get a little rest and lasts a lot longer and i can go 2 or 3 days without my battery running out.

Hope all this makes sense and helps someone! :)

Anyone has the battery issue? After I turned on bluetooth and inserted the MicroSD, the battery drain very fast. Now, I have to charge it everyday, otherwise it will comepletely drain out at the end of day.

Wow, every single time i come back here I always learn more stuff about my phone! =) Thanks guys ~
Anyway, I've been playing with my phone for some time now, and I'm glad to say that I've
found out how to select my own "melody" for the alarm instead of using the 16~ default ones. Apparently if you have (or can go download it from the Samsung website) the Samsung PC Studio 3, and the usb cable (it should be included in the kit), you can directly upload any MIDI files to your phone 's "favourite songs or downloaded ones" ~ =)
In addition, with this PC studio 3, you can sms directly from your computer, add songs into other files, etc etc ~
In addition, for sms notices, there's usually a sound that you can change (it's in the settings and #4: Sounds), there you can change the sound or you can mute it. I'm not sure about missed calls.
I've also realized that I cannot send or receive any multimedia message, I suppose it's got to do with the actual cell phone company? =S
And also, I'm also wondering if this phone supports any downloadable Samsung themes and visualizations? Apparently there's so much more to learn about this phone as the manual only covers the bare basics ~

Btw: Anybody know how I can get this phone fixed via samsung? I've tried calling and emailing them (samsun USA and ASia) and I have gotten nowhere with them.
