Well I must say I took a gamble and upgraded my Sony K750i to the E900. I ordered it yest and still waiting on delivery from O2-online. After reading these reviews I am happy to say I have made a good choice. There is mixed opinions about the phone but overall the majority is in favour of the phone. This is my 1st Samsung as I more into Sony and Nokia. I think I have made a good choice :-)

isnt the phone the same as the d600 but it has a rigid good look but too bad the battery life is less. so disappointed as i like the e900 more than my d600 but besides that there isnt a downfall in this investment as i probably wil still buy it

On mine, when charging, the screen stays on the whole time. I am worried about it burning in... I can find nothing about a screen save in this charging mode in the manual. any thoughts?
Thanks.

I just got Samsung E900 on 7th Jun '06 in Thailand. Indeed, it is very slim and light. I am very happy with the design. However, the evolution of function is not much advanced when you compare with other models of Samsung.

I got the samsung E900 this week and I have to say what a fantastic little phone, with extra memory (LG CHOCOLATE DINT HAVE) 2 mpixel camera (LG HAS 1.3MP)this phone is stylish and has great features on it once you get the hang of the touch screen navigation, occassionally that is the phones let down as its easy to press the wrong button, however the mobile tracker built in is a great device and should be fitted to all phones, the screen quality is great and i have to say no complaints from me, a great buy !!

Speakerphone option: After extensive research, the E900 user manual at http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200605/20060522103508828_SGH-E900_Eng.pdf
page 34 of 113 or page 32 of the manual itself states:
Using the speakerphone feature
Use the external speaker on the back of the phone to
talk and listen with the phone a short distance away.
Press [Centre] and then to activate the
speakerphone feature. Press [Centre] again to switch
back to the earpiece.
hope this helps

There is a speakerphone on this model I've just looked it up in the manual (near the middle / back of the manual) However looking at the manual you can only use the mp3 player though the speakerphone or a bluetooth headset

JUST GOT THIS PHONE ON 6/6/2006 in LA ,
Well the phone sure looks slim & very sharp , easy slide , functional wise i would say is just like most of samsung function which is very good for daily used . as for the heat sensentive keypads ..hummm. because is so sensentive to your heat of your figers it changes functions so quickly , something that i am not totally sure i would want , no speaker phone function which is a disappointment for me since i like no hand-held person . alot of language to choose from even got vietnamese and thai and maly.
overal i would say if you like a good design and pretty phone with normal function i say " got for it " but keep in mind there are that fast heat sensentive part . but i guess it is okay the less key you press on the longer your phone last right ??
