Excellent phone. Decent design for decent people. This phone is for grown ups and for those who are tired of flashy phones.
I am happy with the looks.
Camera - doesn't make much of difference.
Battery - can't expect much for it's size.
Reception - fairly good.
speakers - poor for alarms...again, can't expect more from this size.
AGAIN..IT'S A SIMPLE PHONE DON'T EXPECT MUCH.

Got the E900 yesterday in the new pink on 02. Previously had the D500 then the E530, E900 looks cool and is lovely to hold however it really doesn't seem much better than the D500. The touch sensitive keys are a little annoying but not as bad as people make out, haven't deleted any texts yets but there does seem to be a delay on the cancel button. 2mega pixel camera is nothing to get excited about believe me! The alarm is very quiet so won't be relying on that and the message tones are rubbish and you can't use your own! You CAN use mp3 as ringtones which is fine. I bluetoothed all of my videos and photos over to my new fone and for some reason they are like in a little square in the middle which I'm really annoyed about, could bluetooth from my other two fones and they looked fine. Plus I'm confused why Samsung have called this fone pink when it's much more of a red. Overall the I'm not that impressed. It looks lovely but I think the D500 was much better and that came out over a year ago. Guess you can't have everything!

Bought this phone two weeks ago. And i think its a nice phone! Small and good-looking. In your hand it looks much better than on pictures! I was worried about touchpad but it took just a few days to get used to it. And i actually found touchpad quite cool.. you dont have to press it.. all you have to do is to slide your finger from joypad in needed direction and back! Phone is not very fast but not slow.. camera, player, gallery, doc reader take 2-3 seconds to load but other things open up instantly. Camera is fine.. you can make nice videos and nice outdoor pictures. No autufocus. so no macro.. but macro is not bad at all.. (from 20cm you will get sharp pictures already). Flash is quite userful. Good for taking photos of documents. Flash its not very bright but its enough to take a portrait in total darkness. What i really dont like is music player.. it has no Bass Boost :( And also is very uncomfortable to control wiht touchpad. And no 3.5mm adapter in the box :( And headphones that come with phone just suck :( Its not a music phone at all..
Pros:
- Very stylish, small, lightweight
- Nice screen with nice colors
- Camera makes nice videos
- Picsel viewer for reading documents
- TVout
Cons:
- Poor player and headphones, no 3.5mm adapter
- No FM radio
- Fingerprints are well seen on the screen
- Uncomfortable to delete words when typing message because of touchpad..

hi elena, hope this will help u..
I bought the lg chocolate in july and i'm totaly happy with it and havent got any problem at all!! AND BELIVE ME, I HAVENT REGRET OF BUYING IT!!!
anyway...
Some people say that samsung E900 is like 10000 times better than the lg chocolate but they should think TWICE!!!
* = True facts when i compared E900 and lg chocolate..
* The 2mpixel camera on the samsung and the 1.3 mpixel camera on lg are almost the same when u take pictures! (and just so u know that the lg has much more options on the camera)
* The lg phone is louder when playing mp3 (You can even set mp3 and vibrate as a ringtone at the same time on the lg!!)
* The lg phone is much more user friendly than the samsung. (its like a nokia)
* The lg batteri lasts longer than the samsung when listening on mp3 and so on.
* OH and listen to this: does someone know how to get the T9 permanently on,so when you create a text message you don't have to press the * button everytime you want to create a text???? Well dont ask me,,i dont have that "problem" on the lg :-)
* And here is one more thing,,be ready to get pissed off when u constantly end up cancelling a text msg because of the touch button! they are so close together!
My opinion is that the LG is much HOTTER than the samsung.
REMEMBER THAT THE LG CHOCOLATE IS ONE OF THE BEST SELLING PHONES TODAY
well,,,thats all
hope that helped your choise :-)

Can we use mp3 as message alert tones on this model? If not, do you know any any samsung model that can use mp3 as message alert tone?
I really like Samsung phones because they are nice to look at ad easy to use. I do have D600 but I want to change it because you can't use mp3 as message alert tone.

The phone does have problem receiving mms. heres how to solve the problem;
• Go to messages option on handset
• Go to message settings
• Go to multimedia, option then select either: receive or retrieve settings
• Go to receive/retrieve option
• Once in retrieve options, ignore the 1st option (i.e make sure no tick is in the 1st option box)
• Make sure a tick is in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th option
• Press save once the relevant ticks are in the relevant options, and then switch off phone and switch back on

yes, it's a springy slide, unlike the n80... and yes, you can set your mp3's as ringtones
