Samsung Epic 4G - User opinions and reviews

If Samsung is really interested in being among the top of smartphone category then they need to be releasing bleeding edge specs. Google recommendation for Gingerbread are:
* 512MB RAM, come out with 1Gb RAM.
* Froyo and above allows application to install on SD card so keeping the ROM at 1 to 2Gb, like their current models should be fine.
* CPU speed recommendation is 1Ghz, Motorolla is coming out with 2Ghz. Can Samsung top Motorolla?

Some other feature they should have:
* Gorilla glass.
* Flash for front and back Camera.
* A-GPS/GPS and digital compass should be standard.
* Super AMOLED screen.
* More powerful (high amp/hr) battery.

Samsung also need to improve their support especially on OS upgrade. They shouldn't lag behind everybody else when it comes to this.

I think there's flash on this phone but it doesn't say it, but definately the 'Samsung Epic 4g' (this phone) for Sprint has a flash.

See, I was already considering getting the Galaxy S based on the reviews everyone has been giving this phone...but I'm attached to having a Qwerty Keyboard..(right now using the TouchPro 2 - WinMo has had its last sale from me..freezes way too much). I hope this phone comes out for T-Mobile as it will be a guaranteed buy!

Galaxy S Pro will be rooted,GS is already,GSP will have its own xda forum. This makes any and all software complaints null and void. GS/GSP hummingbird cpu gpu blows everything else out of the water,possibly even 1.5 ghz snapduo. Camera LED flash,hard keyboard(5 row),7+ hour video playback(GS benchmark test results),720p 30fps record,FM radio tuner,TV output,VGA front camera…..ect. My G1 has a worthy replacement after 2 years of sevice. F-you T-Mo

this is a dream come true. I hope it will have some strong video acceleration. I had a dream (g1) and lost it. And since then I am waiting for the perfect phone. This might be it. I'm a bit put off by the lack of trackball but other than that... terrific. I hate on screen keyboards and also it is very useful to have a full keyboard for gaming. And if it gets rooted also... jackpot :)

Hutan, 21 Jun 2010with swype you don't need a qwerty keyboard...But, with a qwerty keyboard the net surfing experience is better.

Galaxy S Pro & Droid 2 will be the best phones for 2010-2011 season! If I had money I would buy the Galaxy S Pro between them, cause i like Samsung more. But both of them are PERFECT! The only one phone which maybe catch these two phones will be the N9, none other!

Impressive specs, but I don't get why the Samsung use its new OS. It's never going to be enough apps for it when Sumsung release it's high spec phones with Android instead of Bada.
