I think this looks like a gr8 fone.Does anyone know when it will be available in South Africa?Why do the companies launching the fones send last to South Africa?We have 50 million people here amd I think 40 million ofus have cell fones.

I know the Finnish and the Swedish cellphone makers are not necessarily the best in terms of performance, but I have to stick to them because of they offer more user-friendly character input. Each key allows you to access the various characters you need. For example you have all the "a"s with the second key. (A,a, à, ä, á, â...etc). Some phones don't even provide under one key the most used symbol like the apostrophe, which is the most used symbol in English. You have to access it by using * key and dig it out of there. Mg

This is likely to be my next purchase. Unfortunately, Asian brands (Japanese, Corean and the rest) don't make phones that have user friendly keypads when it comes to text-messaging. You have to go through through a couple of extra steps to access special characters. Most of them don't even bother to add vowels and consonnants with accents when the phone doesn't other languages than English, Chinese and Thai or Bahasi which is frustrating. One of the minimum requirement I need from a cellphone is the possibility to text message with most of the European languages. Otherwise, the sets should be sold to only countries that where they are intended for.

where's vga video recording?all high end fons should have it at these days?ps.n95 cannnot compete coz it's very bad bilt fon,bad quality,cheap ruthling case...and i just sow picture and videos taken from my previous n95,are awfull,wors then old se and don't say aboutits design

Wait for Samsung I900, it sure have Wi-Fi. This model is a entry-level for Samsung going against LG Viewty. I hope the I900 will be a i-Phone killer.

I was analizing this terrific phone and could observe the phone several tecnologies.
Only absolutily, with the better control using touchscreen and taking wonderful 5.0MP photos.
After this hardest points that put F490 in the highest position of ranking of cellphones i think nobody can leave this magnific phone on the shops....Let's buy all of them!!!

Gareth just wondering, whats your IQ? obviously n95 is a good phone. but except the two way slide what feature is revolutionary? there is noting that the n95 has that an other phone doesn't. atleast samsun are ahead of nokia. the only concept that could rival is the n98 which hasn't even been proved to BE a concept yet

the phones great, obiouisly could be a little better as all phones could be. but generally a work of art. it obviously has a keypad text input, does ayone know whether it may feture an on screen qwerty keyboard aswell?

Its QVGA- recording which is 240*320 at 15fps, lol. d viewty is VGA(DVD Quality Recording, 30fps) which is 640*480, hmm. As well as 120 fps for matrix style slow motion. View d next technology folks.
