just got this phone around 2 weeks ago and i think its the dogs, ok battery life could be a little better video quality is exceptional touch screen isnt as temperamental as i thought internet browsing is the best ive used on a mobile and ive never text so quick with the qwerty keyboard had a g600 before this and a k810i before that ive normally only had sony but i think the cybershot brand cannot be beaten but the other features on this have got me. the F700 is my new best friend id recommend it to anyone and you can use any of your music files for sms alert wonder how many samsung lovers want it now lol

Can anyone please tell me...what's the storage capacity for messages in F700? How many messages can be stored in it? I currently have SonyEricsson P990, which has practically unlimited capacity for messages and phonebook entries.

I like the looks of this phone. I currently have the 8gb N95, and I think this phone looks better. It's the features of the N95 that keeps me from giving it up and getting other phones. I tried the Viewty and was disappointed, and went back to my N95 right away (relieved). If only this phone has 8gb internal memory and 5megapix camera with 30fps & radio, I'd give up my n95 for this phone. Until those features happen with this one, I'm sticking with my N95.

Technical Question:
Does anyone know if these F490 or F700 phones use the electron sensitive touchscreen technology like the iPhone, or does it use the standard pressure sensitive screen?

@will:
Yes, the keyboard is backlit. You can even set the time of day that it lights up or just have it set to turn on whenever you slide out the keyboard
@C:
The characters can be set quite large. About size 24 font in microsoft word

I just received mine today. Although I got the AZERTY keyboard version, it's a great phone. The sound is great, the UI is a lot better than what people are giving it credit for. The is a slight learning curve, but again, it's not as bad as people say. The camera could have been better, but overall I'm in love with it. Samsung really went the distance with this phone.
