As much as I love slider phones....this one is a failure.
All of Samsung's phones look the same. They use the same colors, same layout, same everything.
Their phones are just so cheaply made. They always try to go for the thinnest phones possible, and when they do, they sacrifice build quality.
The Nokia 6500 Slide blows this mobile away.

I think this is a real beauty.
The latest Samsung phones are quite good, we should give them a little credit.
The features and design are great.
I am thinking of buying this one....

Bad points: No 3G, and video recorder..VGA at 15fps not enough :) it should be 30fps.

...and how it actually failed? do mention some points other than saying it has failed. Its not even released in the market.
If samsung is failing then it will not be NUMBER 2 now.

A nice attempt by Samsung this time....
This phone is better in all samsungsss...
but you konow what...Samsung has again failed in front of Sony Ericsson and Nokia...
So sorry Samsung but you can't compete with the two market giants..SE and Nokia

Yes, the news on this site has been updated. I didn't know. To bad that it doesn't record VGA with 30fps..but only 15fps.

Pls don't make this personal, OK? I own Nokia 6233 (records in VGA/15fps). I owned D600 and D900, ok? So, don't start with "Oh, u SE owner.." I just made my point; DO THE SAME!

dave_vl , do not hope because it is VGA video recording. According also to gsm arena that it records CIF with 30 frames per second but it also records 640X480 (VGA). Just read the news from GSM arena about G600 if you can understand English or better still, go to the site i was posting from my previous opinion.
Maybe you are an owner of SE phones which only records QVGA like K850, not even CIF. Cheap SE.

I don't like the design. It's simply boring after the great u700 and after my d600. I won't change them to this, however the 5mega is awesome :)

After you will read all the replays on that forum, you will see my point. I know about that flash presentation with "640x480 video" but, on detailed specification, on video recorder I saw: CIF, 30fps. I trully hope it will be VGA and I'm wrong..because if it will be VGA, I'll buy this phone for sure!

This isn't the first Samsung phone with a 5 megapixel camera. The first Samsung phone with a 5 megapixel camera was the sch-s250 a.k.a p860. And that phone was the first phone in the world to have a 5 megapixel camera. Several Samsung phones have this feature, GSM and CDMA. The Samsung AnyCall sch-b600 camera has a 10 megapixel camera!

No 3G? What the hell were they thinking?
And the design looks boring compared to other Samsung sliders.
