Who say that u can not put your own melodies as sms tone either dont have this phone or dont no how to do that. You can do this by going settings --> phone settings --> phone profiles --> Normal ( or any profile u use ). then press right to get into messages options, then then one time down and u r here.. u can put any mp3 melodie as sms tone..

If You have problem with the PC Studio with which the phone is supplied , try to get the version 3.2.1 GD2. It is more stable and now I have no problems with USB or BT connections.

it's true you can only view pictures in full screen when they're stored in phone's memory. not on card's.

Can we view pictures stored on memory card in full screen. Heard it is possible only when stored in phone memory... How is the file manager in this phone. Are there any other limitations in the file manager. Is transfering of files from Computer easy.
When the phone goes to stand by mode will it display the clock. Also will missed call/message icons be displayed in stand by mode.
Read in the forum that we can set mp3's as message tones with the latest hardware. Does anyone know if we buy this phone now will we get it with that firmware. Also, please provide the link for it, so that we can see what all Samsung has fixed.
Thanks in advice for the replies if any ;)

Nell - unfortunately that is the downside to this phone. You can only use the preset tones for text messages. There are only 4 to choose from and they are not very good. Some people say that if you flash your phone with new firmware this might resolve this. Personally I am not willing to do this as it voids the warranty and so far I have heard no guarantees that this does actually fix this.

Sarah - I don't think there is an option to put a tone on when you slide the phone up or down.

Does anyone else have the problem of not being able to add more than 3 or 4 words to the dictionary?? Normally I add a whole different vocabulary to my phones - have been doing this for years - but find after I have used whatever word I have added more than 5 times it deletes from the memory?? And I also find the pics blurry - good phone but the camera and fuctions on the new sony are much better....

Outbreak
You can't turn off the E sign near the battery life sign because it indicates that your in the EDGE network, meaning you can browse your phone's net while it is in the field of it. If its G, then it's GPRS only.
