just 1 quiestion:
if i take a photo can it be saved in the memory card and not in the phone's memory?
i've always had this problem with samsung phones and it really sucks

Well this is the way to use auto focus,if u want extra picture then u press the side photo button like on half way down then hold it until on display appear green marker and until in the same time u hear sound,then u press to the end the button and u wait 2 seconds holding very still the phone and u will get excellent photo,u can press the navy key in the middle of the scroll button under the display and the phone will automatically do auto focus but the pictures will not be so good like l explained in step 1 up in the text

autofocus... its in da name! auto as in automatic so it automatically focuses!!

Can somebody tell me how do we use the autofocus with this phone? It seems we can't put it on... I can't find it nowhere!

the 5mp camera is not that great, but it'll do. the flash on the phone is indeed very strong, it makes my photo's blue.

Ok, i got this phone here in Manila. Here's my review :
1. Build quality is great. Sliding mechanism is fine. Phone is slim although not as slim as U600. The material used is awesome, it's not prone to scratches but attracts fingerprints.
2. Display is the BEST. Even better than Nokia 6300, N95 & other QVGA displays from Nokia. It is so vibrant & colorful & brightness adjustment is present.
3. Music Player is great. Sound is better than walkman phones. The provided headset is of great quality & there's also an option to use your own. It can be minimized & the interface is simple.
4. Camera is so-so. Although this is my first 5MP Phone, i am not impressed with it. The flash is strong & u can somehow use it as torch.
5. Video / Video Player is fantastic. It records in VGA resolution & it plays VGA video with 30fps w/o problems. Audio is loud. This is the most advanced video player from Samsung to date.
6. FM radio is different from others as it can record broadcast.
7. The user interface is cool. Very user friendly & u dnt have to click more keys to do something. Sending an SMS is a breeze. This is the best UI from Samsung.
8. Phone is snappy. No hanging & waiting.
9. Message alert tone cant be customized. Only 4 preset tones can be used & they are so boring.
10. Theme is present. But only 4 can be used. There's no option to create one or to download from the internet.
11. SMS messages is limited. IT DOESNT USE the memory card or the phone memory capacity. It is stucked at 200 plus your simcard.
12. Downloaded photos cant be viewed full screen. Only photos taken from the camera can be viewed horizontally.
SUMMARY : Great phone. Great UI. But still has lots to improve. This is, w/o a doubt, the best looking 5MP Camera Phone in the market today.

anybody knows how to save messages in the memory card? as of now, my msgs are all stored either in the phone memory or sim card which has a capacity of only 235msgs!! unlike nokia, msgs can be save on the memory card. please help!!!!

try saving the number as it is in the message area code etc it worked for me

Can someone please tell me where the pre-set message tones actually are. I can't find them! I know I can't put my own tone on but surely they have some to choose from?

if you want this so you dont have to take a camera everywhere with you, then forget it!
samsung technical "remove memory card to take pics and store them without blur, on the lowest resolution."
high res the pictures are blurry, a suite pic was blurred whilst technical talked me through the settings, samsung technical tell me: "first and foremost its a phone!"
why advertise it as a camera then?
samsung technical didnt answer!
they advised me to return the handset and try a different model.
please dont believe all the advertising jargon, as a replacement for a 5 mega pixel camera, its a waste of time!

Which is better in terms of pricture quality? Samsung u600 or g600? I think the picture quality of the camera is the same... What do you think? Im about to upgrade my samsung phone.. At first, I really liked to buy u600 because it's got very fashionable look.. But many say that the camera shutter lag is really slow..
And oh, I love touch sensitive buttons so I have no problem with that kind of buttons..

Does this phone actually allow you to automatically save text messages in an out box style file as they are sent and i dont mean by going through a "send and save" option every time because my D900 doesnt.
