hi alex i would send your phone back to o2 you may have a one off with a software fault. i have this phone and it is great (minus the fact you cant put tones to texts) i upgraded from u600 and my first one had a software fault on it which when i was texting it kept rebooting itself.

Loving the phone but has anybody else found that you can't access the main menu if the music plaer is running. If you click the top dpad button it just takes you to the music meny. A big pain when you want to forward a text while listening to music

Is that true about the 4 text alerts? If so thats pretty rubbish. Is there a software bundle you download to allow mp3 text tones?

Just got the G600 this morning for my mate an tried the music player but Samsung should have put two stereo speakers on the G600 because the main speaker is not loud enough an i am sure alot of people will be missing calls because of this,then Samsungs done the same cock-up an you can not set music tone as your message tone an theres just 4 tones to use but there so short even alot of messages will be missed grow up Samsung an let anyone set any tone the want for there message tone then you will sell more i am sure glad i have the N95

you can set music as a ringtone but you cant personalize the message tones.

The Phone only has one downside: the speakers aren't loud enough. Other than that, ITS AMAZIING!!!! HELLO SKETCH MODE IN THE CAMERA!!
but yea does anyone know how to up the volume on the speakers?

i am thinkin of gettin this phone am i right in sayin that u cannot have music as a ringtone and you can only have the basic samsung ringtones that are on the phone?? is this right? i wouldnt want to get the phone if that is correct!!
please let me know!!!!

could anyone tell me how to change my msg tone so can have music instead of the poor 5 msg tones orignally set on my g600 phone.......! cheers simon.

Has anyone had any problems with this phone? When I text sometimes it freezes and I cant add any more characters for a few seconds and then it lets me text again. Im debating whether to send it back to o2.

The user manual is one of the worst I have ever seen for a mobile phone!.
I can only imagine that it was sacrificed in order to get the phone out before SE released the K850.
Has anyone worked out how to make the picutes full frame yet?

when you have music instead of ringing on someones phone. That is called "caller tunes" and is only avaliable on t-mob

Hey DD.
I recommend the G600 as the U600 has those very irritating touch sensitive keys. G600 has 5mp camera which is much better too. Melt

Help. Love my new G600 but cant change the menu layout/transition although there seems to be choices nothing happens when I select them. I have been into my themes and tried that route but nothing? Anyone anyluck with text alert tones? I agree the choice of 4 is poor. Also I would like more phone ringtones? Here's hoping to hear back!

Zoe, yes you can have your own music instead of ringing on the G600 but you cant have your own text alerts

DD,I have the U600 and also the G600 i have just sent the G600 back and keeping the U600.
Samsung seems to have left the little details
out on the G600.
On the G600 you cant make your own folders everything has to be stored in one folder,
You cant have your own SMS tones,
You cant have video calling i.e When someone
calls you you can only display their picture
and the a video of them.
There is no box to tick a name in contacts
before using that name so you could easily
send text or call to wrong person.
Menu not as good as U600.
The only good things going for it is
The 5 mega pixel camera,
16 million colours on screen,
Not touch sensitive!
I think the U600 feels better in your hand
looks sleek and modern.
I found with the G600 after holding it a
while the corner of the phone dug into my
palm making it sore but with the U600 it
is rounded at the corner so doesnt feel sharp.
Hope this helps anyone making up their mind.
I am sticking with the U600 till i see what
else they bring out.Cant believe on an
upgraded samsung they went back to just
having 4 of their own text alerts and you
cant have you own like with the U600.

Hi there i recieved my G600 a few days ago now and i love it. The only problem i have is that i cant find a way of changing the text alerts as there only seems to be 4 and i hate all of them, i would really like my own message tone. Also im not sure if this phone has it and i dont know what its called but alot of my partner has a new phone and when i ring him i hear music that he put on there instead of ringing, does anyone know if the phone has that? I rang O2 and they dont know yet how to get everything to work as its so new! Any help i would be very grateful

to view pictures in full screen mode just press the # key when viewing the image,
