Yeah, I did update it myself. It's not as complicated as it looks though. Please, just read the instructions carefully, and follow them precisely.

I don't know if it's still available in shop now as it's been superseded by new models. I had a hard time finding one in the shops here in New Zealand. But, it's not impossible.
The average price seems to be ~$375 US right now. I think that's a pretty good deal considering everything the phone does.
As far as the music quality goes, it sounds fantastic on the G810. It uses a separate DSP (Digital Signal Processor) for the headphone jack. So, music over earbuds/headphones is crystal clear. I have a pair of studio grade headphones that I tested my G810 with. I was blown away by the quality of it's output.
The default music player is not as advanced as Walkman 3.0 in terms of features. However, there are 3rd party ones that are quite close to it: PowerMP3 and LCG Jukebox come to mind. PowerMP3 being my preferred choice, at the moment, though.
Kind regards

Sure, you're welcome. I was actually looking at the SE W960 before I got my G810. Seems like a cool phone.
I hope you enjoy it!

Just a little FYI: Mobifactor is now public beta testing a version of PowerMP3 that works with the G810. So, if you're not happy with that default Music Player, and want something a bit different, please check it out. Just Google for "Mobifactor" and the site will come up.
I've been beta testing for awhile now and it's really good. While the EQ and Effects don't work, yet, the sound quality is amazing and LOUD! ;)
By the way, here are PowerMP3's features:
Features:
- Most popular audio formats (MP3, OGG, AAC, MP4)
- Rich music library with moods, ratings, playlists and folders
- Album cover with Internet search
- Visualization effects - graphic spectrum analiser
- Tight integration: phone key shortcuts, access by statusbar icon
- Fully customizable skins
- Built-in phone Equalizer support
- Handsfree playback control
- Sleep timer

I'd take it back. It sounds something is either wrong with the phone or the charger. You don't need to do anything to get the charger to work with the phone.

behemoth, 02 May 2009is the camera cover in this phone is spring assisted? thanksNo, the camera cover is not spring-assisted. However, it's very solid and locks into the open/closed position very well - it wont slip around or open accidently if it's fully engaged to the locked position.
The Slider is spring-assisted though.

Anonymous, 30 Apr 2009Hi,
hope you can help. the battery life on my samsung g81... moreOne day of battery life sounds about right actually. I pretty much get the same out of my phone and I use it pretty heavily - a couple of hours of web browsing via Opera Mini and a Wifi connection, music player constantly playing AAC+ songs in the background, transferring a few files via Bluetooth/USB, several texts and a few calls a day. Also, I may activate the GPS occasionally, and play a game now and then.
I don't see charging the battery everynight as a problem really. Yeah, it doesn't last as long as my SE W810i used to - that could go for about 3 days without a recharge. However, since the G810 is a smartphone, it does much more than my W810i ever did, or could. I'm happy with the trade off in battery life for all the functionality I get.
Please remember that the G810 is a workhorse. So, he eats more! ;)
Here are some tips to make the battery last a bit longer though:
Use GSM only for the phone network.
Set GPRS access to as needed.
Make sure that Bluetooth is off when not needed.
Make sure WLAN access is off when not needed.
Turn the Screen Brightness down to the lowest level you can tolerate.
Set the Screen Dimmer and Back-light times to their lowest possible values.
Don't leave the GPS (Goggle Maps, Route 66, Samsung Navigator, etc.) running in the background.
Don't leave unnecessary programs running the background.
Only use the Xenon flash on the camera when absolutely necessary.
I hope this helps.

There's a Game Boy Advance emulator I know of. Also, I think, there's a Nintendo Entertainment System one. Probably a few others as well. However, there are quite a few native S60 games that the G810 can run and some Java ones too!
Cheers
