It's a great phone not even just for the price, everything loads fast enough and the fingerprint reader takes 0.5 seconds to respond. It'll get 4 years of updates and comes with a headphone jack (3 years left). Only things that could've been improved would be the cameras and the storage (base model 32gb and left me with 15gb but shrunk to 9gb).

The Samsung Galaxy A03s is a great phone for the price, if you understand the "preinstallled problems" that exist before you
The problem is, most novice users don't understand all phones and PCs come preinstallled with bloatware that need to be uninstalled or deactivated before you activate the phone/ get on line.
If you don't uninstall or deactivate most of the preinstallled software before you activate your phone, as soon as you log into the Play Store it will automatically update every outdated app you have, eating up gigabytes of free space. And your phone will slow down to a crawl, because in most cases the phone is not designed to smoothly and simultaneously run all the apps that are preinstallled on it.
The very first thing I leaned to do in the 1990s when I got my first computer was to go into msconfig and stop all the programs from loading and running in the background when the PC started, because if i didn't, the PC would run like it was stuck in mud
This bloatware problem exist to a much higher degree in cell phones than it does on PCs. Once you learn to uninstall/deactivate most of your apps, you will be set free from 99% of the problems you have on your phone.
You also need to stop your needed programs from running in the background and using data in the background without your permission, and block automatic updates from the Play Store. I have done this procedure to 20-30 Android phones and have never had a problem with any of my phones
It will take between 30-60 min to uninstall or deactivate all of your bloatware, and to disable the apps you want to keep, from running in the background and using up data in the background. Go through your app options with a fine toothed comb
Last but not least, DO NOT upgrade your OS to the latest version, go into developers options and deactivate automatic updates if that option is available. Don't jump at the opportunity to update something that is running fine, your might regret it
I have the Samsung Galaxy A03s that I paid $50 for at Target, and it runs great because I understand what the problem is, and I fixed it before I activated my phone

This is good, just the processor and the ui haven't optimize really well, then it become laggy and slow to opening app or doing some work. The only upgrade is the fingerprint sensor, and i don't really like the processor cuz lag experience for gaming

I guess the review that I read was made by someone who didn't actually use the phone. I assume they saw 5,000 mAh and a large size battery and said "Yep, that's a long life according to these specs "and published it.
For my needs the camera is alright. The accidental touch protection should be a red light. That means there is a flaw with this ao3s that required them to add this feature to keep content playing. I have pulled this thing out of my pocket many times to restart the program I am listening to; sometimes the touch protection was on.I like the larger screen. Again I will stress the short battery life, it's real.

Good phone and good performance for the price. Samsung could have used a different chipset in this phone, such as a Snapdragon 460 and the performance would have been better and battery would be more efficient. One problem with the device is that it has NO FAST CHARGING. Recharging takes 1.5-2 hours with the slow 7.4W charger, and yes before you all argue with me I have tried a 15W fast charger and still it took the same.
