And that it still managed to run with 4gb ram. And the lockscreen displays ads during charging. Something a regular user like my mom will never be able to figure out how to turn off. Lockscreen ads, on an Amoled screen.

This phone is a really good phone, and it's probably the best budget phone I've had. Got it at T-Mobile for $100 only.

A dog poop on the street is still dog poop regardless if you like collecting them as souvenirs or not. Just like this phone is garbage whether you like it or not. Grow up, learn emotional maturity and realize you have a garbage phone and stop with the mental gymnastics, it's OK to like and enjoy youe garbage phone, but it is still universally regarded as garbage if there are better phones that cost less and are faster. Lile for example Xiaomi Redmi 10C which released 2 years later, bit sells a lot cheaper and is better in everyrhing, especially because this A12 trash has eMMC 5.1 memory and the 10C has UFS 2.2 memory, which makes it at least 15 times faster in simplest operations like opening a browser and loading a website... And a lot cheaper.

I got android 13 with August security patch, but the phone is slow as heck and not well optimized.

The Samsung Galaxy A12 is the worst phone I ever bought. Not only is it a step down from the previous model, but it is excruciatingly slow & crashes a lot. When the phone wasn't even 3 months old, it started to slow down when opening apps & even when trying to type. Now it has got to the point that it is taking 30 seconds or more to open apps & watch videos. At times the app just shuts down when trying to watch a video. I DO NOT recommend this phone to anyone.

Why not compare it with its counterparts like the A12s (Nacho) which in my long experience with the device have surpassed other midrange or budget phones in its class. I've been using the A12s for a year and five months without any issue whatsoever. NO Lag at all in gaming, swiping between apps and the camera is superb. Battery last longer even with heavy usage like I always use it and I still get 8 hours + of Screen on time which is absolute 💯 this days. Like I have dropped the phone so many times on a concrete floor without much damage except the screen protector shattering thereby touching the inner preinstalled tempered screen from Samsung. I haven't taken for a repair since purchase in March 2022.
