...., 02 Oct 2023Hello is it normal to drain 15% of battery over night even ... moreI've come to the conclusion that EU versions are either heavily unoptimized, or lack quality control, or both. This is an ODM phone after all, not "real" Samsung.
I keep reading about excellent battery life in international reviews, but don't see it myself.
In local sites (Greek) I see a lot of complaints about battery life, battery drain etc. My drain isn't that much (usually 8-10% overnight with everything on), but SoT isn't impressive at all (8-10 hours with social media use). Nothing crazy, but still below average. I thought I had a bad piece, but I see way too many people with similar problems, at least for EU variations.

Mark55, 29 Oct 2023An awful phone, takes ages to charge and loses power fast ... moreif you are using USB-A to Type C cable and regular charger (USB-A) it charges only at 1A current even charger can supply 2A. so it take over 5 hours to full charge from empty.
you must have USB type C, PD charger adapter. then fast charge mode activates (PD mode)
and charge phone at 9V 1.67A (15W) rate.
Quick charge compatible adapter not supported by these phones. you must have PD type adapter

I Have This Absolutely Splendid Phone...Whilst Nothing Is Perfect And I'll Probably Never Like Mediatek Processors~All Other Specs Of This Phone Are Just Splendid...A Satisfactory Upgrade From The Laggy SAMSUNG GALAXY A03S I Previously Had... SAMSUNG However Needs To Do AWAY With The Notch & Bottom Bezel...It's An Overall Splendid Phone...Ignore The Negative Pests...And Those Who Incorrectly/Stupidly Call It An Entry Level Phone...

Fortunately mines come with the Exynos 1330 chipset, purchased in a store here in Trinidad in the Caribbean for TT $1299.00 (US $191.50) at the start of the week. I may assume the Latin American market may have the Exynos version of the device as well. It's definitely much faster and better than my last device, P22 powered A10s. It is thick but that don't really bother me. Shame i have to purchase a type-c charger separate but the one i get is charging my device fast. I haven't test the cameras that much but i might give a review on that at a later time. I like how the device runs Asphalt 9 game smoothly, on a 60Hz screen though. Speaking of the screen, the quality is nice, despite it not being a super amoled screen. Love the smoothness and responsiveness especially at 90Hz. The speaker is ok, the quality though is a bit subpar. The speed of the internet is great, much faster than my last device. In fact it competes with my laptop. Luckily my country has 5G networks, though i yet to see this device reach that potential. I think that's all i could say so far with my device, as mentioned earlier i would have to do review with its camera(s) and give my opinion at a later time.

Not a fan of Samsung A145g no visible screen in the sun, annoying. Its chunky, too thick and heavy. too many apps. Has to be charged more often than not. Too complex for basic usage. It's frustrating to navigate.

you have to suffer, 30 Sep 2023i recommend saving up on galaxy a34. much better than this ... moreDepends on the region. The Dimensity 700 version is unimpressive and absolutely not worth it. The Indian version with the Exynos 1330 paired with 128 GB storage and 6 or 8 GB RAM is actually quite good. It has surprisingly strong signal reception with lots of 4G/5G bands being supported; fast internal storage with fast read-write speeds for the dedicated memory card slot; ample performance for casual users (on par with the Dimensity 900 on the CPU side); good enough speakers; surprisingly good battery life; even the camera is quite decent. The only two downsides I can think of are the charging speed and the sheer thickness of the device (the lack of OIS and 4k video recording is not a major issue for people who buy phones in this price bracket). All things considered, the A14 5G Exynos 1330 version is actually a better deal than comparably priced OnePlus offerings and even last year's Galaxy A23 5G (which has a couple of major issues).

Hello is it normal to drain 15% of battery over night even though my wifi and data connection is not on? I'm Experiencing this to my A14 5G

I felt this phone in my hand today, and it felt awful. It's way too thick, and the sides are nearly flat making it just seem clunky in the hand.

This is how budget phones should be built.
Solid performance, sturdy case, it's the only real alternative to crappy chinese spyware infested phones.

The downsides are the typical Samsung bloatware nobody wants, the galaxy store nobody needs and the 3rd party contractor apps nobody would ever install in their life which keep reinstalling themselves after removal.

There are solutions to permanently remove all the bloatware (use google) or simply use a different android rom.

Overall, this phone gets a solid 8/10 for it's (as of now) unmatched price to quality ratio.
