It's only better in OIS and Gyroscope feature. The rest, It's the same phone. A15 is cheaper, newer and more optimized than the A24. Also comes with Android 14 from the factory.

Been using for couple of days.
Was pretty decent. But slowed down by bloatware. Would miles better if the os is stock android. Galaxy OS is one of the most bloated OS I've been using for while. Other phone manufacturers already moved on to the closer to stock including xiaomi/redmi.

The main reason I bought a15 is that have 256 storage variant, but if 128 is enough, it is better to buy a24

Anonymous, 27 Feb 2024Bought it then sold it amazing phone with only one big flaw... more2025 should be the year where Samsung gives every phone a real proximity sensor. I think the Galaxy A16 should feature 5 upgrades and not more or less

                  Proximity sensor
                  Stereo speakers
6GB RAM base, and 256GB option with 128 base
                  8MP ultrawide
                  Dimensity 7200

If they keep everything else the same, including design, main camera, display and price (of A15 5G), it would be a strong $200 phone.

The chip would eat up a lot of the budget, the rest of the mentioned upgrades should not be too expensive to do. But I guess more realistically, it’d be an A25 with two or three things removed, including OIS, maybe still 800 nits or something. Wouldn’t be bad either but I think some more speed would suit the Galaxy A series. But they also probably do their market research well so I‘m confident what they are doing is what people care about.

Only you got confused and started using DPI that is completely irrelevant here.
Go read the Wikipedia about DPI if you still have difficulties instead of arguing here.

Nobody was ever talking about zooming of images the first place.
Some tiny option in the Android settings does not redefine DPI when it is completely irrelevant here. DPI is used there to reference physical size of real world outcome like printing generally is.

I see very well that English is your second language and your level is obviously lacking to understand anything technical and complex.
You started arguing me with false understandings of the whole discussion. Nobody asked your unrelated opinion.
If you are too lazy to read the context of other's conversations then don't waste our time by replying. Inability to perceive context and constantly switching topic to win arguments is a tell tale sign of lower intelligence of a person trying to look smart.
No intelligent person ever makes such weird excuses constantly to prove they are smarter than others.

Mentioned " should've used the term Pixel Density rather than "Display" to keep the "original context" " to seem that you're smart and unintended when it was all upside down.

How is DPI a term only for printing documents, and not for displays when the Android Dev Options shown smallest width for the display uses DPI as the 'width' unit. And it works to zoom in or out the images on the display at your comfort.

You don't even understand the basics of what you're trying to say. You're just quick browsing while reposting a comment, without a research consent. You call me barely understanding the words I said, you're more likely to. You came here to no life yourself replying comments after comments with your disinformations trying to get your own imaginated smart honor badge to make yourself happy. Out of all your mistakes you only cared about people's. Telling them to increase their reading skills won't increase your life's net nor IQ worth. This language is not even mine. And I can read tenths of times better than you. It's better to mistook what you read than to mistook what you've understood. One small reading mistake that I didn't even cared to read your other replies and you called me a dummy. Just listen, I don't have time to take care of you and your BS. I'm not you.

Only PPI can be used to describe the sharpness of a digital screen, like I already stated before.
"Display density" was a quote from the previous user if you had actually bothered to read it. I should've used the "Pixel density" instead to be more clear for a dummy like you but I wanted keep the original context.
Instead of trying to lecture others with things you barely understand maybe practice your basic reading skills first.

And what you're referring to is the DPI which means Dots Per Inch. It's only measuring size of an object shown on screen rather than the sharpness/clearness of the screen itself. It doesn't affect the stuff mentioned on the screen. Pixel Density or PPI is much different to DPI. Please don't be blind of technology. PPI means Pixel Per Inch. If the PPI is higher then the screen's gonna be a lot clearer than the lower PPI ones. It's 2 different things and you didn't even bother to research it first. Stop this tech misleading. Learn your words.

The resolution is the raw amount of pixels that defines how much information can be displayed on screen.
While you can scale text system wide, it is still apps themselves that scale most of gui objects to your device's resolution.
