Samsung Galaxy A15 5G review

Design, build quality, handling

The Galaxy A15 5G exterior is identical to the Galaxy A15 4G, and that was to be expected. In fact, if you put the two next to each other, it will be quite hard to tell the difference.

The Galaxy A15 5G is your typical smartphone with flat panels. The front is all flat, as usual, covered by protective glass. Samsung hasn't shared the glass manufacturer.

The display has reasonably thin bezels and a U-shaped notch for the 13MP selfie camera.

The rear panel is also flat, made of plastic and has a matte finish. Exploring further, we've found out that the 5G model has a matte back, while the 4G - is a glossy one. So, even if all color versions are the same, you can feel this difference.

The Galaxy A15 5G is available in three colors Blue Black (ours), Blue, and Yellow.

The design of the frame is somewhat new to the Galaxy A series. It is made of plastic and has a matching color and finish to the back panel. It is also flat but features a bit of unusual sculpting around the lock and volume keys. It is nice, but we are not sure if there is any practical reason behind it.

The thick frame does help for an overall good grip experience, and we did not feel like shopping for a case even after nearly two weeks with the phone.

Finally, here is a look across the sides of the Galaxy A15 5G. It has all sorts of features like an audio jack and a microSD card slot, USB-C port and the fingerprint sensor is placed on the power/lock key. The experience with the latter is great - it is an always-on reader, fast and accurate.

Overall, we liked the Galaxy A15 5G design, handling, and the grip it provides. It is a solid, well-built device available in likable colors. We only wish it had some basic ingress protection.
