LTE counterpart seems better, I don't really need 5G connectivity and I'm still alive using a Realme C11 (I know). Anyone played PUBG Mobile in this phone? any tips?

Everyone who wants a compact affordable phone needs to unite and publicize it. A Change.org petition can help achieve that. And if many people sign it, it will show Samsung the significant demand and potential profitability.
I wrote up a text, but I’m not good with tech or managing petitions online. If someone savvy wants to step up and do the petition, they can then post the link here and people can share it around and hopefully it will go viral and garner many signatures. I give my full permission to whoever wants to use the text below for it:
-----
In recent years, phones have grown increasingly large, heavy, and cumbersome. While this trend benefits users who prefer larger displays and batteries, it excludes those who prioritize lighter, more compact devices that fit comfortably in their pockets and reduce hand strain. While the former group has access to numerous options across various price ranges, the latter faces a severe lack of choices, as the few available compact phones are expensive, making them out of reach to those with limited means. For example, Samsung’s expensive S-series features a compact phone that’s very popular each year (most recently the S24), but Samsung does not provide affordable options for lower-income customers or those in disadvantaged and underprivileged communities who need a smaller device. While they produce numerous budget phones each year, all of them are big and heavy.
Therefore, we urge Samsung to address this gap by restarting the production of a mid-range and/or budget device that matches the size and weight of the smaller S-series phone. Given their capacity to produce numerous devices annually, this shouldn’t be hard. The potential profit could be substantial, as the demand for this is greater than for some of their existing budget options. And relying on secondhand electronics should never be one’s only recourse. We also call on other manufacturers to take similar steps.

JN, 06 Aug 2024I know right? Instead of making these pointless duplicates ... moreMaybe all you guys who want a compact budget phone (which is a great idea by the way) should call Samsung and notify them that there is a demand for such a device. Perhaps that way they'd actually decide it's in their interest to make such a phone. Definitely better than just writing about it here.

JN, 09 Aug 2024This, alongside the ugly notch (except A35 and A55), thick ... moreThe ugly notch and bezels is just Samsung's way of sticking to customers who can't afford expensive phones through no fault of their own. Samsung doesn't have to add extra dead space, making the phone more unwieldy, clunky, heavy, and ugly for no reason. Just remove that space around the display, what's the big deal? The answer is they're sticking it to the non-rich just because.

MiG, 09 Aug 2024Glad to see that I'm not the only one wishing for smal... more"Appparently compact phones don't sell well..." - That is not true.
Perhaps mini mini ones don't, but the compact S24 and S23 sell very well. There are many people who actually want phones (and not phablets) that don't fatigue their hand and easily fit into their pocket. The problem is that many of these customers can't afford the expensive price of the S24/S23, but would buy a mid-ranger with the same size and weight in a heartbeat if such a thing existed these days. Samsung stands to make a lot of money if they produced such a device. But the fact is that with phones, demand doesn't drive the supply. Instead, consumers are forced to choose from whatever options exist, so it would appear that that's what they like. But you can't buy your preference if it isn't being made anymore. Just ask Note fans, European Snapdragon fans, headphone jack and SD card slot fans, and fans of no dead space/ugly bezels (which can be easily avoided by trimming down the device's size to remove that extra pointless space).

MiG, 09 Aug 2024Glad to see that I'm not the only one wishing for smal... moreIn the case of Apple, think it's because the iPhone 12 Mini/13 Mini were *too* small for their own good. People no longer use phones as merely communication devices these days, we use them to browse the web, play games, watch videos, work, etcetera. All these activities demand a bigger screen.
So even if the regular iPhone 15 and S24 aren't the most compact devices around, they're still quite compact to be pocketable, while still having a decently-sized screen for media consumption. Basically, they're neither too small nor too big for most people.
In the case of Asus, they've pretty much given up and decided to cave in, in hopes of getting more sales. I don't think it paid off, as not a single person I know are even impressed by the Zenfone 11 Ultra, and it's barely even selling a thousand units here. Asus lost much of their relevance anyway since 2019 when they decided to ditch their budget lineup in favor of niche phones like the ROG Phone series.

JN, 06 Aug 2024I know right? Instead of making these pointless duplicates ... moreGlad to see that I'm not the only one wishing for smaller Android compact budget phones.
Appparently compact phones don't sell well (Apple abandoned it's mini lineup and so did Asus with it's more compact lineup). But, surely a company the size of Samsung (with it's international presence) should have a potential market sufficiently large to sell at least one model of such a phone distributed worldwide (especially now that others have all abandoned that segment).
I just bought an Iphone 12 mini (in mint condition) just for the form factor, even though I prefer the Android OS of my A15. The latter's form factor got sufficiently annoying to justify switching to a second hand Iphone mini. The S24/S23 alternative was too expensive for me (and also larger than the mini).

Anonymous, 08 Aug 2024You're correct about their decisions not being based o... moreThis, alongside the ugly notch (except A35 and A55), thick bezels, and unnecessary bulk on all of their mid-range phones.
The Poco X6, which retails for the same price as the A15 5G in my country at $220, is decently light, slick, and modern-looking with super thin bezels and a hole punch camera. In comparison, the A15 5G just looks like an $80 low-end phone.
Maybe for some people, the only thing that matters is that it's a Samsung phone. As if that's something to be proud of, in the same manner as owning an iPhone.

Anonymous, 06 Aug 2024Or the A55/M55/F55/C55/M55s... for crying out loud!
Just... moreYou're correct about their decisions not being based on sound business considerations. If it was, they'd realize that the small S24 sells amazingly well, so if there was a mid-ranger that size (in addition to the existing big ones), it would sell well for the same reason.
By the way, this concept that Samsung makes what customers want and if certain kinds of phones are discontinued it means people didn't want it is a complete myth. The fact is that people can only buy what's available, so it looks like that's what they want. If Samsung actually made what people wanted, they wouldn't stop the Note series, force Exynos chips on flagships in many countries, remove the headphone jack and SD slot, and they'd trim down phone bodies to eliminate dead space and their ugly bezels. But Samsung makes what Samsung wants, not what customers want. We are just forced to choose from whatever is available, so now the "stats" say "He bought that phone, he must want it!" but that's silly. A person can't get what he wants if it doesn't exist. A Note fan buying another phone doesn't really want it, and a European Snapdragon fan buying an Exynos phone doesn't either really want it. They're forced to take what exists. "Companies make what customers want" is a myth. When it comes to phones, demand does NOT drive the supply, but rather it's the other way around.

Just goes to show that Samsung's decisions aren't financial based. There are far more people that would buy a compact mid-ranger (the size of the highly popular S24/S23) than those clamoring for a phone that's a clone of an existing A-series phone, just with a different name and one or two tiny differences.

Anonymous, 19 Jul 2024Ha! Part of your question is the answer:
There is no rhyme... moreI know right? Instead of making these pointless duplicates like the M15, F15, M35, M55, F55, and etcetera for only a few parts of the world, Samsung could've used their R&D funds to make compact versions of their A-series phones and release them globally.
Right now the budget segment is heavily lacking in compact options with screen sizes under 6.5 inches. Not everyone has the money to buy an S24 or iPhone 15 just to get a pocketable phone that's easy to carry around and use with one hand.
An A15e with a 6.0 inch display would certainly add flavor to an otherwise jaded market full of massive bricks. I think the last time Samsung made a compact budget phone was with the A41 back in 2020.

The problem is they're expensive. So if there was a phone with that size and weight in the mid-range segment, it would sell similarly well among those who can't afford the S price.

This phone absolutely sucks. It decides to send nonsense texts on its own. It won't eliminate annoying connections to spectrum ads out of the blue. The speech to text feature is pure garbage. Can't keep the screen on for more than ten minutes. Constantly have to turn it on to see if anyone texted because it doesn't always make a sound when a text comes in.
Marginally better than a couple of cans with a string.
