I use 4gb/128gb version as a secondary phone . The ui runs smooth and for casual gaming and messaging apps is more than enough. The G99 is the best budget friendly option right now. Battery life and display are decent too. The only downside is the camera but for this price range this phone is a good choice.

How are notifications shown in this phone? I know it does not have AOD but I want that when a notification arrives when the screen is off, just turn on the pop up and nothing else.

Never buy cheap samsung phone. If you want to buy samsung, buy something like a26 minimum. A36 is perfect. I bought this and redmi 13 in same price range is blasing fast in comparision with this trash. Wifi is diappearing, pubg, cod, carx is impossible to play. Wifi cant be connected in wc few meters away. When i get job i will buy a26 or a36, cheap samsung will never be in my pocket again. I cant imagine how people feel when they use a06.

Got mine (8GB RAM, 256GB storage) a few months ago to replace the feeble Zenfone Max Pro M2. Have it permanently on power saver mode. The battery lasts at least two days (keeping it in the range of 20%～80%). Use it only for WhatsApp, casual pics, and casual web browsing... no games. Very cool phone, doesn't heat up no matter what. Performance is OK, although it's not exactly snappy. It doesn't slow down or hiccup either; things flow very smoothly (at 60 Hz). Samsung promised 6 years of updates for this phone, and it looks like it might just make it to the end of 2030 if the budget processor holds out. Battery-wise, it's already pretty much guaranteed to make it there—all while costing about 7× less than the S25U. Good job, Samsung.
