Samsung Galaxy A16 4G review

Design, build quality, handling
The Galaxy A16 4G is identical to the Galaxy A15 4G. It's just, well, larger. The new model has a slightly bigger 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, which is why it is a beefier phone. The same exact size as the A16 5G.

The good news is that it does not feel bulky; even better, it has Samsung's timeless design, which we've seen on quite a few phones already.
The Galaxy A16 4G has a flat glass front, a flat plastic frame, and a flat sheet of matte plastic on the back. There is no camera island here, just three sticking-out rings around each camera sensor.

A tiny but important usability design element is the raised key bed that holds the power and volume buttons. This is another Samsung signature design element.

A first for the Galaxy A1x series is the ingress protection - IP54 in this case. This means the Galaxy A16 4G is dust-protected (but not dust-tight) and resistant to splashing water. You cannot submerge the A16 in water, but it will survive the occasional rain.
The Galaxy A16 4G is available in three colorways - Blue Black, Light Green and Light Gray (ours).

Let's take a closer look at the Galaxy A16.

The front has the 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with a U-shaped notch and not-so-thick bezels. The screen supports a 90Hz refresh rate and has Full HD resolution.

The back of the Galaxy A16 has three rings around each camera. The LED flash is next to them.

The frame has a matte finish, and it is mostly flat. The hybrid dual-SIM tray is on the left, while the Power/Lock key with an integrated fingerprint sensor is on the right.
The A16 4G has a single speaker, bottom-facing.

The Galaxy A16 has a solid build and offers a good grip all-round. The versions with light colors are smudge-resistant and look great. Overall, the Galaxy A16 ticks every box a budget phone should.
