ashrobb, 02 Dec 2024And not so long ago, the best midrange they ever released (... moreThe IP67 rating is moot when the back panel peels off after a year of use for most people.

This phone set of features are terrible for its pricepoint.

It seems as though it was built and targetted towards their fans' hopes and dreams for future updates.

I don't remember any Samsung A-series that gets "faster" after a major Android upgrade. All phones loses performance over time as the Android OS increases complexity. The 6 years promise will make this phone dog slow even after 1 to 2 major upgrades.

        If it looks like a A15, feels like a A15 and performs like a A15, then it's A15, IMHO.

This Samsung design is getting oooooold.

They need to come up with a new camera arrangement already. It's been the same thing since the S22.

Well people, vote with your wallets. Boycott companies like Samsung that do not make even the least effort to improve and rehash the same device time and time again.

The only hope would be massive organizations like the EU mandating companies to include a headphone jack on every new phone, just like how they pressured Apple to switch from Lightning to USB-C for their iPhone 15 series and newer.

it's sad really, we used to get headphone jacks consistently in the midrange before and even that is dwindling. Why must companies be SO greedy?

Another overpriced garbage-tier phone by Samsung. This shouldn't cost anything above 89 euros.

I download CPDT now in my phone every test I do I get different results, like My OP 7 pro run first test got 16MBPs, run 2Nd test got 19MBps in span of few second, go reddit there there is Subreddit of S24 results for Same benchmark and results are way different for same phone.

Enough? No. Better than the 2MB used by AndroBench? Yes.
                                  http://www.androbench.org/wiki/User_Guide
They're both outdated, but AndroBench is the worst offender.

CPDT would be ideal and has gained lots of popularity across many tech sawy reviewers https://github.com/maxim-saplin/CrossPlatformDiskTest

Anyway, we're derailing here. Just don't say ever again the A15 has faster storage than S24+ or any UFS 3.1/4.0 phone, that is embarrassing. Cheers.

I found this in pcmark website this is how they test

                                    Internal storage workloads
Read a 32 MB file sequentially in 2 MB blocks from internal storage
Read a 32 MB file randomly in 4 KB blocks from internal storage
Write a 16 MB file sequentially in 2 MB blocks to internal storage
Write a 16 MB file randomly in 4 KB blocks to internal storage

So you tell me is 16MB enough to stress random read/Write? In current world of smartphone?

Androbench would use more than 50MB multiple times.

Except they also have the results from PCMark and there the S24+ is vastly superior to the A15. You ignore the numbers that are against your bias.

                                      "what make those benchmarks better?"
Androbench hasn't been updated since 2016, that should be enough for any intelligent person... UFS 3.0 didn't even exist back then.

PCMark playstore app is just a GUI frontend, you can install the apk from their official site and the benchmarks will be loaded. It is also more recently updated to current standards.

CPDT, Antutu storage benchmarks are up to date and also widely known/used.

Again you fail to answer my question, first you said Pcmark now you mentioned other benchmarks, what make those benchmarks better? You have any reliable source be it someone or some reputable website showing those benchmarks are better measurement?
