Samsung literally said let's make a phone and take out all the features people thought is standard for Samsung phones. No AOD, has a nano hybrid sim, overheats really fast, game booster plus support not available, no side fingerprint gesture such as swipe to open taskbar, camera is choppy if you move the phone around, no single take and if you transfer files from a phone that had those feature it will straight up make them unsupported after a while,. Biggest red flag is that the phone keeps activating the camera from a background process under a system app so even your privacy is at risk. Be careful buying this since I made this mistake. THE ISSUES ONLY SURFACE AFTER A WEEK OR TWO TRUST ME I WAS TAKING MY TIME TO CHECK FOR FAULTS. Now I cannot even return it at full price and change the model to any other model unless I pay 50% of the phone's value + 5k more for the Galaxy A35.

Processing power in my barely alive 5 year old s10e is wayyyy better than my factory new a16

Actually I am a light user,this model good use every day without playing heavy game.So I recommend who are light user like me can choose this A16 5g.

It's a work/school phone, and not a personal one that you can use to play heavy games.
You can play games but at most very dated ones like those in 10 or 15 years ago.
Camera's are meh as well, but if you don't care bout that then it's not much of a problem,

Anonymous, 21 Mar 2025People ramble to much Samsung always reliable brand .For fairly obvious reasons.
1.) you underestimate the amount of people that hate chinese products, even my family still believes apple and samsung are by far the most reliable.
2.) it's the most readily available compared to the other chinese phones. Oneplus, who is praised to be a good brand in the US and EU, isn't even available in other countries. And if you lived in SEA countries, vivo and oppo only sell low end devices that barely can do anything other than browsing and playing 15 year old games.
I'm not defending either brand, this are just facts at this point.

Anonymous, 09 Feb 20256 GB is plenty. Running an A52s, no issues.I've had 6GB/128GB Combo inside my Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro - that was 2020 already, 5 years ago. Into 2025 - 8GB/256GB is the absolute bare minimum, what i accept into a phone. It should be better 12(16)GB/512GB, to be somehow at least the next 2-4 years futureproof, and UFS 4.0 of course - not slow as molasses UFS 2.2 standard block memory and speed, like too many entry level phones.

Very slow and laggy takes long time to turn on nothing I do seems to fix the performance. Turned of ram plus and disabled apps, and turn off animations, might see if I can trade it in for a a26/36
