As visbles 4g bands are 2 3 5 13 and 66. And that missing band concerns me. (Yes Ik 5g exists but I never needed it.) But it is the same price as the a25.
I'm just worried about its 4g compatibility with visible. So it depends on what band 13 is used for. That decides if I go for the a34 or 345 or not

Another alternative would be to see if you can get your hands on an A34 (8GB/256GB). It is still avilable in some places and is going for as cheap as the A25. And it is definitely a much better device.

Raghuvarv, 14 Jul 2024Have you considered the A35?Slughtly to expensive for me to consider, But I have looked into all the a?5's, so far the a25 is my best bet.
But if the 8gb 256gb a35 goes to 250$ or so on prime day I won't pass that up.

zanezonair, 11 Jul 2024For people that have the 8/256 version how hot exactly does... moreThe heating issues for the A25 are exaggerated. It gets no warmer under load than phones from other brands with comparable performance. Same story with throttling. The thermal management in the A25 is actually quite decent. Not as good as the likes of say . . . the Oppo Reno 11 and 12 and Realme GT6T, but nonetheless acceptable. The only unusual heating behaviour I can point out is when using GPS (which boggles my mind) but even then it doesn't get too hot.
As for the A15: I would advise staying away from it. The Dimensity 6100 is very frugal and battery life is outstanding. But in performance it is about comparable to the Snapdragon 480 5G and is just about enough for day to day usage, and definitely not for gaming. The A15 also has a low quality AMOLED with terrible PWM. Definitely a huge negative.

The battery life on my brother-in-law's A33 and a client's M34 is insanely good in daily usage.

For people that have the 8/256 version how hot exactly does the phone get when gaming? And do you use Samsung's gaming plugin tools at all? If so how well does it handle games when set to battery saving inside the tool.
I plan to keep it at 60hz and I'm mainly playing bloons on it.
I'm wondering how bad of a thermal issue the chip has.
Also does the a15 have better thermals? If so by how much, is it to the point where I'm better off with the 8/256 a15 rather than the 8/256 a25?
Thanks in advance for any info.

1280 is an unstable processor that is prone to heating, sucks the battery like water, and can cause momentary lags at 120hz from time to time. I wish the dimensity or exynos 1330 model had been preferred.

Let's be honest, This phone is good for its price, You don't have to root this phone because it will get 4 OS updates and 5 years of security updates anyways, The exynos 1280 gets too much crap because when it was first introduced, it was added in the Upper range A53 so it was bad, But now In this price range it actually better than the alternative Helio G99 or dimensity 6100+ in performance, battery life is good enough if your a normal user you'll have to charge it at night but if you're a gamer you'll have to charge it midday, the charger isn't slow but it's not exactly fast either and you'll have to buy it separately, which is annoying but even if you add the price of the charger to the phone, it will still fit it's price range just fine, the cameras are good not too good but it's definitely above average, No punchhole and screen to body ratio is horrifying but oh well.... It's display is as good as the rest of the competition due to it being all rounded instead of focusing on one good thing in the display and leaving everything else as mediocre, it has super amoled, it has 1000 nits which isn't the brightest but it's good enough, it has 1080P which is regular and it has 120 Hz so overall it makes up for its lack of punchhole and bad screen to body ratio.
Headphones jack! No problem with having a headphone jack whether you're gonna use it or not, it's still a good thing, the speakers are one of the best if not the best in its price range(The price range with addition to the charger price), You won't regret buying this phone 👍🏻 good luck and choose wisely if you're buying+ please follow common sense.

Why would anyone want to root this phone when it will get 4 OS updates and 5 years of security updates? All of that will be lost if you root it and you'll also lose your warranty.

So here is my take on this devices so far.. The 3.5mm is super crap.. Is OK for the average though but it won't rumble with poweramp!.. The dual loud speakers are cool.. The screen touch hz is poooor... Sometimes I doudt if the screen refresh rate is actually 120hz but 90hz.. Is slippery!.. Is actually looking good.. The screen brightness is not all that cool on bright daylight (coming from an A70).. No rom yet!.. Don't root it yet too!.. If you root for viper, you are on a sorry road.. Charging speed is average.. Camera is uhmm OK not that good.. Is good buy too.. Save money and enjoy basic android
