The last phone with reasonable weight was the a73 with 181 grs. Now, its around 200 grs or more.

And hear my comment on an alternative ph... moreExcept the A33 and A34 are NOT available in the US, nor will the A35 be, precisely because Samsung wants to FORCE budget customers who don't have extra money to either buy the overpriced A25 (whenever it gets launched in the US), or to pay even more for the A54 (or A55 in a few months). There will be nothing in between.
This after there was no A24 variant for the US either.
As someone else pointed out in one of these comment pages, in the entire 2023 only the A54/A14 5G were made available in the US. Just two budget phones. And 2022 wasn't much better. Just the A53, A23 5G, and A13 5G.
For some reason America gets a fraction of the budget options available in other regions.

A25 price appears to be touching into the middle A3x segment. If this is true, then one can consider the similar Samsung A34, but which has better performance (Antutu score 472k) and good battery test score (133 hours). Not forgetting the A34 has the water IP certification and is roughly within the same price range. The midrange phone appears to cannibalize the A25 sales, vice versa, a bad thing for A25 sales, but a good thing for consumers as they get options. As a consumer, one should look at Samsung's various product available so that one do not end up buying a lower tier model at a higher price than the mid-ranges.

Anonymous, 20 Dec 2023The Exynos 1280 is better than Helio G99 what are you saying?I guess the Two 2.4Ghz Cortex A78 Cores in this chip are worse than the Other Two 2.2Ghz Cortex A76 Cores in the Helio G99.
The efficiency is very horrible on the Exynos 1280, but it performs as well if not better than the Helio G99 if you exclude power consumption.

As such, the A25 should be the same price as the A23 5G or cheaper, otherwise it's not worth buying.
