Anonymous, 05 Sep 2024Once you taste bigger you never go back… anyhow 6.5 isn’t 6.8 Perhaps for you. But for others, the "taste" of massive/heavy hurts their hands.

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2024Is no sim slot 2. SD card fits there Yes, you can use two nano-sims — or 1 SD card and 1 nano sim. To use two nano sims, you set the second sim (sideways) in the SD card space.

You bet they don't. They couldn't care less about lower-income customers or those in disadvantaged and underprivileged communities.

Still a no buy, 13 Apr 2024Update : I've also had network issues. This occurs mor... moreHave you tried using Sim2 slot, instead of Sim 1?

We have an A25 and it's phone signal is very poor at weak spots . Difficult to talk on thus phone indoor often. Data and wifi are no problems.

We brought back to Samsung 3 times and under warranty . First they changed the microphone board etc and sec and third time they just said updated the software as some apps can affect the phone connection etc. No help.

We decided to use Sim 2 slot instead of Sim 1 and it's now 80% better in phone reception. Perhaps, unlike the flagship s series, A25 has a weaker reception in general.

                                At least now it's usable

Whoever wants a compact affordable phone needs to unite and publicize it. A Change.org petition can help achieve that. And if many people sign it, it will show Samsung the significant demand and potential profitability.

I wrote up a text, but I’m not good with tech or managing petitions online. If someone savvy wants to step up and do the petition, they can then post the link here and people can share it around and hopefully it will go viral and garner many signatures. I give my full permission to whoever wants to use the text below for it:

                                  -----

In recent years, phones have grown increasingly large, heavy, and cumbersome. While this trend benefits users who prefer larger displays and batteries, it excludes those who prioritize lighter, more compact devices that fit comfortably in their pockets and reduce hand strain. While the former group has access to numerous options across various price ranges, the latter faces a severe lack of choices, as the few available compact phones are expensive, making them out of reach to those with limited means. For example, Samsung’s expensive S-series features a compact phone that’s very popular each year (most recently the S24), but Samsung does not provide affordable options for lower-income customers or those in disadvantaged and underprivileged communities who need a smaller device. While they produce numerous budget phones each year, all of them are big and heavy.

Therefore, we urge Samsung to address this gap by restarting the production of a mid-range and/or budget device that matches the size and weight of the smaller S-series phone. Given their capacity to produce numerous devices annually, this shouldn’t be hard. The potential profit could be substantial, as the demand for this is greater than for some of their existing budget options. And relying on secondhand electronics should never be one’s only recourse. We also call on other manufacturers to take similar steps.
