i know they had to nerf some of the features for the affordable 5g, but really? the display quality? why not the cameras or even the battery? 720p screens should be left in 2020.

Don't blame Samsung for using TFT screen. Last year, they used Amoled screen for A20 but the A10 with TFT sold far more copy than it. This year again, the a21s with tft screen is selling more than a31 with amoled screen. So, if you are the manufacturer, you will probably take the same decision based consumer behavior and acceptance of your products. If they were able to sell more copy of a20, a31 than a11 and a21s may be they will be encouraged to continue with amoled. Let me tell you this secret, people prefer lcd to amoled on entry level phones because of the cost of replacing amoled screen is high. Can you spend $100 to replace screen on a phone that cost $150?
