As an A34 owner, I dont see any benefits to upgrade to this phone. the only upgrades i see are the victus glass, wifi 6, punchhole display, but thats not enough for an upgrade.
plus the exynos chipset makes me a little worried.. besides this changes everything in the a35 is literally as same as the A34..

kkjay, 15 Mar 2024Is this faster than a A52s?You need to excuse random answers from some people in here. Antutu ver 10 benchmark score is a good gauge to compare device speed :-
    A34 : 544k
    A35 : 588k
    A52s : 562k
    A54 : 591k
    A55 : 720k

The A52s although launched in 2021, is as quick as the newer A54. If you are looking to upgrade, then look at the A55 or an even higher tier. The A52s is still receiving OS upgrades until 2025 (4 years) and security updates until sep 2026 (5 years), so I would not upgrade yet if I were you.

Is this faster than a A52s?

If you compare the A35 and A54, you will notice they are equal. Both have the same chipset, same speed, roughly the same photo taking capability, same battery, same 25w and the same price bracket. It is only their 6.6" vs 6.4" screen which is different, making the A54 more petite. Plus, the A54 supports HDR10+. The A35 is a tad bigger and inherits the newer flat frame design, therefore appears chunky. More like the iphone pro max.

Should you decide to buy either one, take note the A35 gets 5 years of security updates versus 4 years for A54, which is less one year because it is already one year old. However, the A54, being labeled as an enterprise model (by samsung), receives a more regular monthly update compared to the quarterly A35. At this point of reading, as the differences are spelled out, you realise that it is still hard to decide between the two.

Very high price, very weak device specifications, Exynos processor, and no box contents. Goodbye Samsung.

Slightly slower processor on paper than the A34. Same as previous years processor, but this allowed Samsung to bring the price down by $50-80 depending on the market.

Not sure if instruction set was updated on the A55 and if this would affect performance. So far on paper, seems like it might.

Not sure how I feel about this. Don't hate it, don't love it.

The new lower end series uses the processor of the higher end of last year's model. That is exactly what iPhones have been doing with their models for quite a few years now. Unfortunately Samsung is not what it used to be years ago production and innovation.
