I would be embarrassed to carry this phone. The pill-shaped camera island resembles the old design back in 2018-19.

The 7S Gen 2 is a Samsung made chip that overheats like crazy and is part of the new slew of mid Snap processors that are in effect Exynos in disguise. A52s holdovers, you will want to skip this one too, the 778G is still goat. Though I would recommend just getting a used S23+ at this point and sticking with that for the forseeable future. I know that is what I did.

This Snapdragon is made in Samsung factories, so I would advise you not to get too excited. Exynos level.

Does anyone think we'll get an 8 GB variant of this phone released in North America? It'd be a really nice improvement from last year, because we're getting the Snapdragon SoC and 45 Watt charging, too.

Anonymous, 30 Jan 2025After 3 years of device release ,security updates come eve... moreThis obviously excludes flagships (including the FE ones) and the A5X series as "enterprise models" hence they are eligible for samsung's standard monthly updates. Otherwise, if you got an A series or any other models besides the prioritized ones (this includes older flagships too), you will only be eligible to receive updates once per 3 months, even once per 6 months if your midrange phone is old.
This policy indeed sucks but its likely a sacrifice to keep the phone's price in track.

Samsung now has completely killed the midrange phone specs, and why not? They r a big company, they give best features to their s ultras while mid rangers previously get snapdragons but now they get cheap exynos ones, low ppi, the old super amoled tech, today is the era of dynaamic amoleds. It looks like we mid range samsung lovwrs need to switch to other companies like realme or oneplus or vivo to get value for money, samsung is just 😡
