MrGrumpy, 17 Sep 2018Muttley, to get rid of that annoying Piano sound, go to sou... moreThanks.
I tried that but it only seems to be coming from Samsung notifications.
The notification settings are cool.......just keep getting Samsung stuff which is not in the notifications list or I can not find it.
I have the A320FL.....maybe some difference ?
This phone is brilliant and also looks good.
I have no need to add much applications so I still have 50%+ internal memory and a 64GB card which has loads of music and images on and all has been compressed for the optimal phone settings I think and I have loads of memmory left.
A small PC with a SIM card......brilliant.

Az, 14 Sep 2018Owners of this phone - aren't the minimal 16 GB and 2 GB ra... moreNot at all.
The memory is just fine.
I am impressed with the operation capabilities.
I just want a phone first of all and it is brilliant.
Then it is a small computer.
Sure it is not a high power desktop but it is much smaller and it looks so good.
Craftwork and very handy device for the modern world.

Well now difficult choice but I got a Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 after spending much time choosing it....and very happy.
Connected it to the interwebs and it downloaded all the latest software without a SIM card..I got Android 8.0
All the applications are already loaded , no need to add much.
Call quality is amazing on wifi and cellular as good as the landline if not better !
You get the option to get notifications from which applications you want.
It is fairly small and has a zoom facility for easy read which I need.
I got a SD memory card to expand my sounds and put some pictures on but this was slightly unessassary as I got 64MB...overkill springs to mind.
Some applications you can move to the SD card but not the bloatware.
The phone has enough internal memory as all the useful stuff is built in.
Fingerprint reader and aluminium / glass build. Very nice design & nice to hold.
Very hesitant to spend money on a phone but I really need to join the modern world.
It is apparently waterproof but I will not trying to drown it.
The Good.
Cool looks.
Cool works.....Fingerprint / Near Feild / Waterproof / Good sound quality for a cell phone / TV connection apparently ( not tried it.)
USB C ...works 2 ways plug in.
A small expandable computer with a SIM card.
Could spend 3 or 4 times more for little gain.
Fast charge and all day battery under heavy use.
Block numbers withheld and includes a spam filter warning on the phone call screen.
The Bad.
Really poor SMS message sounds.
A very annoying piano sound that is hard to remove.
Some bloatware facebook for example.
Needs a case as it is expensive.
Only really one good case and the magnetic closing messes up the compass. ( But does not affect the navigation which is brilliant. on Google Maps.)

Az, 14 Sep 2018Owners of this phone - aren't the minimal 16 GB and 2 GB ra... moreAsker of this question - it depends on what you use it for. I have Android 8.0 on mine and there's 9.5GB internal storage free out of the box which is plenty for me as I don't install many apps or games. After installing everything I use, I still have 6GB internal storage free.
Regarding memory, I do a lot of email and browsing, often with up to 15 tabs open. 3GB would definitely be better but looking at my usage stats on a 4GB phone, I rarely use above 2.5GB. The good thing with Oreo on the A3 is that it will auto close apps you haven't used for 3 days releasing memory. Whilst 3GB would be desirable, I've not had any issues with 2GB.

IMEI the best source, then just visit imei.info and have it checked up, if u can't use the imei, look at the sensors, also the fingerprint on ''fake'' phones aren't included, or have less/more sensors than the original, third way is to look at the display, the ''fake'' ones can't have AMOLED displays for sure, so on the ''fake'' ones the display would have worse quality than the AMOLED, still as for me, the imei is the best way to find out, good luck :)

Viper, 06 Sep 2018in that case he/she would miss the security patch from July... moreBut even for my computers I don't give a crap about it having the latest security updates or not, since I rarely download exe programs onto my PC whose source is not trusted. Same for my phone, so I don't give a crap about whether my phone is vulernable or not, as long as it doesn't stop me from using certain programs that I need. I don't go to porn sites! etc..... Id rather have software i like than i don't , Oreo was to buggy for me and takes up more room
