I've been using SM A500F since it was on KitKat, 4.4.4 now I'm on marshmallow 6.0.1, just curious would it upgrade to nougat or not, coz I've seen articles on web from Australian carrier Optimus it will upgrade to nougat even Gsmarena said so, any bro please tell me. I'm from Pakistan.

Marshmallow was released for the A... moreNote: There are similar lists for other variants of the Galaxy A5 (eg A500M or A500W, etc) by searching for the appropriate model number at the same website. Every example I've searched for so far shows official Marshmallow releases are available.

If your phone is running the original manufacturer-supplied OS, then you should be able to do the following:
1) Connect to the Internet using WiFi
2) Open the Settings app.
3) Scroll down and select "About device"
4) Select "Update now"
5) The new update should be downloaded and installed
Alternatively, it should also be possible to download and install the update using your Internet-connected PC with a USB cable and the Samsung Kies or Smart Switch software.

My A5 was working very well but recently my phone dropped just a few inches away from the floor. My phone shows a black screen but I know it's still working because of the sounds it makes but I can't see anything! How to fix this??

dont upgrade to lolipop or marsmellow.
drains batry faster even if its display looks good.
other things are good.
smooth.
fair picture.
heats little.
