I am using this phone with model no. A500YZ bought here in Taiwan, as far as I know, this is the LTE version but I cannot find the NFC features in Settings, there's no option there. Please help. Thanks.

I bought a5 today.. it seems working good.. gd performance.. camera is very powerful. hangless.. HD videos can be played..

I bought this phone 2 months back and since last 15 days, I am experiencing Heating and Hanging issue on this.I am not able to answer the call,stop playlist, intermittently, as touch screen stops working all of a sudden.8 Gb of memory though is still free. Any suggestions pls?

Love the "Private" feature on the phone. It is implemented in a sophisticated way. The items once placed in Private mode cannot be seen on the phone. They apparently vanish!
I don't love the fact that the Duos version of A5 cannot take two sims and a memory card simultaneously unlike the Galaxy Grand 2 Duos. It is a regressive step and I wish Samsung had not opted for this. It just makes Samsung look stingy and also implies that they lack the technical knowhow to implement the aforementioned three features in a slim phone.
Furthermore they should have made the back of the phone metallic like the good ol' Nokia E71. This would have given it a tactile attraction that would have been hard to resist.
I do love the shape of the phone. It is an unexpected departure from the usual Samsung wardrobe. The metallic sides of the phone give it a premium feel even though the back is not metallic. The phone feels just great in the hand. One is never embarrassed because it does not have too much plastic in the structure. One feels the money has been well spent!

Hanan, 05 Jul 2015I just bought it ...its showing some update it is currently... moreI have exactly the same problem! The update icon appeared on the status bar telling me an update was due, so I proceeded to update (80MB). However when I checked the new firmware in the "About" section of the phone settings, it was still showing 4.4.4 ie KitKat firmware.
