I'm sorry for your loss, but it seems that the quality of samsung products depends on region. My family use mostly samsung phones, and the only defected unit we had was an S3, I have a 3.5 years old Tab A 9.7 that I use for reading,and my A50 for gaming and other uses.
Hope you are happy with your new phone. Frankly I don't give a damn if you use a samsung phone or not, everyone has his preferences.

And how all 5 ha... moreI was about to buy a Pixel 3A XL but it was 180 euros more expensive than the A50, with a bigger body but smaller screen. It didn't make sense at all and Samsung didn't have compelling phones with a 4000mAh battery. My S8 had terrible battery life with 3000mAh, so I bought the A50. I didn't want to buy a chinese phone, mostly because of my OLED obsession, and ONE UI was pretty good.
Samsung lacks general quality. Their standards are pretty low because my Tab S5e for example has terrible black uniformity and "jelly scrolling" in vertical mode. Its fingerprint sensor on the side is also not responsive and accurate enough. And even though it cost 420 euros it doesn't receive monthly security updates. Android 10 is scheduled for 1.5 years after launch...
It's not only the optical or ultra sonic sensor being slow. I have had a faster fp sensor on a 200 euro chinese phone from 2016 than an S8, S9 and Note 9. I don't know how they can't use good quality stuff when others can, especially being a huge corporation...
Samsung mobile and screen division have lost quality over time. The memory division is thankfully the most reliable and doesn't lack in quality.

I'm not gonna lie, people aren't buying this phone off of me. It's 6 months old and they are trying to lowball me for 180 euros...I want to turn it into a PC display for temperature readings but I don't know how ;(

Those are tiny GPU's and CPU's and create obviously heat while computing. You can't expect performance out of thin air and have your phone at room temperature...
If it were to overheat it would throttle. There are safety measures to reduce the speed thus the heat before something blows up or catches fire.

Fingerprints is not working at all. It's really rubbish phone. Will never recommend and never buy any Samsung anymore.

No. 1 sent back because the fingerprint sensor sucked
No. 2 bought again because the august update fixed the well known 1% accuracy and made it 60%. It had a red shade on the upper half of the display, so I returned it.
No. 3 had a completely yellowish display
No. 4 had a reddish display again
No. 5 good display. I kept it and accuracy was as exepcted 60%. I have dry fingers so it doesn't work better than that.
And then they crippled it for two months (for some even longer). Don't be delusional and misleading. Mine is not defective and neither is yours. It simply is immature tech they have put into the phone. "Extreme minority" is the same lie as Apple says "a small number of users" when there is a recall program. The A50 wasn't the only affected device from Samsung with the crippling November update.
I have gone through five of these and know exactly how bad everything is. I put up with the terrible speaker and camera but after one bad patch after another I'm fed up. You enjoy your A50 but please don't complain after a year or two when nothing works anymore. It's not build to last and the quality standards for lower end models are bad.
You are a prime example of someone who should have limited or no access to the internet at all xD

It gets rid of the error but gives a different error if you scan the sides of your thumb instead of the middle only (while registering). I installed it so I could sell it but this will not improve it by much. The bad hardware can't be fixed with software. You will still have to lick your thumbs if they are dry. It works 60% at the time just like before October, so neither faster nor slower. The unlocking animation is still a laggy mess though.

TrashA50LMAO, 11 Jan 2020So will the heat make a defect to the phone? Or its normaly... moreUnder load it is normal to get hot. Most CPU's and GPU's on PC have limits up to 90C. Since a phone has lower power delivery I would say it's normal to be 50-60C in intensive games.

It's normal but it also isn't designed well. There are thermal pads instead of thermal paste, and not much copper to transfer the heat faster. If you want better thermals you have to buy a phone with better cooling solution. Or if you don't care about warranties like me, you can use thermal paste (Thermal Grizzly or Noctua).

Second, it is not the brand name that made me choose A50, it is the features and the good price.
Third, if a few people like you got defected units, you can use your warranty to fix,software problem can be ruled out by an update,so not a big deal.
Fourth, you absurdly name A50 a trash. Did you test EVERY SINGLE UNIT of A50 and found issues?
Fifth, believe or not there are real bashers that just bash the phone because it is a samsung one,if it isn't you but there are others.
Sixth, I will keep my A50 for at least 3 years, used it 6 months for now and no problem, not going to upgrade to any phone until then. Who knows I may get a phone from another brand until then.
