I'm still using my samsung galaxy a50 since 2019 from new out of the box. I've accidentally dropped it many times and it's still a good phone, responsive, slightly buggy at times though not as much and I can put up with that. My phone is updated to Android 11 so far and I'm hoping it will get Android 12 and if it does awesome cause then I won't need to upgrade. Happy to keep using it.

Absolutely disappointed in this device. After 2,5 years it simply froze and stopped working while taking a simple picture, cannot be repaired, I can throw it directly into trash. No physical damage was done to it whatsoever.
After 2 years (read "as soon as the warranty stopped") it already started freezing and lagging more and more frequently, but I never expected for this to happen. My previous A5 duos was a much more reliable device, and even better in some instances, at least for my preference.
It's a shame Samsung is going in a really weird direction of competing against themselves and ramping-up-the-prices game, instead of asking the users what they want/need.

Please can a user of this phone test the fm radio with an antenna and see if it will play over a Bluetooth speaker. Please I really need to know if it would work before buying the phone. Thank you

After using this device around 2 years, it's still good and have ghost touch. Not really impressed but okay for my budget. However lagging is normal for cheaper samsung devices and I already expected it. I love it and hope samsung make a better smartphone in the future.

Almost 3 years. Working fine. Only issue is slow fingerprint sensor, which was an issue since I bought it.

Solid choice if you are on a budget.
It has all the key features done well and at a decent price. I do not use my phone for gaming and a lot of third party applications (Open Camera) can improve performance of existing hardware.
Really there isn't much that can go wrong with the Samsung Galaxy A50.

My a50 works professionally after 3 years. I've always love this phone and hope it gives me a few more years since I push it to extremes at times. Its definitely worth buying.

If you're good in using a device you don't need a time for a complaint

Worst phone. In short, it goes like this, when I bought the phone it was a champ, but now after not more than 1 year & 6 months, I am getting a battery deterioration message and the phone hangs a lot, literally when someone calls me, it doesn't show their name.

Chairman123, 20 Jan 2022my a50 keeps showing over heat signs when i put on charge a... moreThat's a faulty charging port I think, I had similar issues before it failed charging and finally ran out of power.
Not much you can do but replace the charge board.
If the warranty is still in effect then use that but if not you're better off looking for a good repair shop since Samsung will charge extra, very extra.
Or you can do it yourself but that's a bit risky.

Note 4 I was a flag ship phone, the A50 is a budget phone. So, yeah, much lower quality

Not as good as my old Note 4. No ir blaster and the unlocking is the same as my first flip phone in 98. The fingerprint scanner has never worked under a screen protector. The face recognition rarely ever sees me as me (only in dimly lit places does it work 1 out of 10 times). And the home unlock feature never works either (maybe bc Google maps has me in the house next door while sitting in my house). The screen comes alive with movement but blacks out before you can swipe on it after pulling it out of your pocket and lags to come back to life. Speaker is barely ok. Notch is awkward. Orientation switches poorly and irregularly when not locked. Home screen items can be easily deleted if lock is not on. Mid level price ($350) camera is nice, screen is bright but overall a mediocre phone. Looking to upgrade back to a S10 or Note 10
