Cameras are nothing to compare about as higher megapixels don't really count. My A50 takes really good pics in any lighting conditions. Go for the A70 if you like big screen and 25w fast charging.

Im satisfied with the pictures It can take. Granted, its not top notch, and indoor pictures are a bit washed out, but its still good enough.

You've already said that that Samsung is greedy. Greed is wrong and it won't become right based on how many does it.

FallenOne, 10 Oct 2019Aren't most budget phones nowadays have plastic back covers... morePlastic and glass back covers were common in midrange. You know what Samsung's current midrange were lacking? Metal frame. Samsung's J series have metal unibody back then and it's fantastic but you know why they opt for all plastic build? It's for profit. Plastic build + high price (relative to competition) is always a good combination for more profit.

So I'm getting a new phone tomorrow and was wondering whether I should get the A50 or add the extra $80 to get the A70? I really like the 25w fast charge but is it much of a big deal with the A50 supporting 15w? Also, is there much difference in their cameras? And finally which of them receives updates faster?

New A50 Owner, 10 Oct 2019all do it for profit that's obvious but there are more gree... moreSamsung really does make you pay more for what the phone is, but man that software gets the hole filled up. OneUI is (personal opinion here) hands down the best out there. And hey, you get things like Bixby Routines and One Hand Operation+. My only problem with the A50 is 64/6 Storage. Should have been 128/6 but this does the job too I guess?

& there are companies who are not yet greedy because they are new & want to establish themselves first in a very competitive market by offering better value for money.
