Purchased A50 phone from Samsung Smart Cafe. After one day, the flickering issue cropped up. After all efforts at home and at service center, the problem could not be solved. The company too 45 days to give a replacement voucher.
With that I took another A50 which has issues of poor touch sensor. The service center after checking it declared it a defective piece.
So much for the quality of Samsung Mobile phones.
It is advisable to stay away from Samsung.

I don't use the app to check the performance of the phone.

For a 350 dollars phone, its cameras are terrible, worst than any sub 200 dollars phone like my old Y9. Shame. That is why they are launching the A50s, with better cameras.

Got it because at the the time it was cheaper than adding on to my S acct. I have since fixed that problem. I have been with S (Nextel at the time). Since Dinosaur phones. Will never try another again!!!

It may be a significantly lower step down than the A50, but I got mine through Metro by T-Mobile, which has 4G about 90% of the time and works as you expect.

To get the full potential of a Samsung phone, you need to work more than you do on other manufacturers.
I dont know about you, but I find OneUI smooth enough with little lags from time to time, mostly caused by app failures or the phone being turned on seconds ago. I dont need it 60fps constantly, the smoothness is the price we pay for salvation.
I want you to tell me 2 things:
-What is the SoT you get? (Can be found in Settings_Device Care_Battery_Battery Usage. After going there tell me the "standby and screen times.)
-What is the geekbench score of your A50? (I know even geekbench is rotten but there shouldnt be any problems with the same device comparisions)

And not everybody here know how to turn on the developer option and what they are for.

From SAMSUNG Galaxy J3 (with TouchWiz UI) to J3 (with Experience UI) to A30 and A50 (with One UI), oppo (with Colour OS) and vivo (with FunTouch OS), until now Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 (with MIUI) and Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 inside the phone, I am sure that MIUI is the smoothest among all the UI.
This is my own experience only and you may not agree with it. It's up to you.

New College student in the US. Just bought A50 with T-mobile as carrier and unlimited plan. Found it slow and not connecting fast, downright out in some locations. Was told that A50 is not compatible with T-mobile 4G tech, but with lower 3G. Solutions suggested: change carrier or another phone. Any thoughts/advice please?

The accidental touch protection is way below par. When in my pocket, it opens n number of times. Absolute crap.
The biggest let down is the camera. Let Samsung declare that the good cameras are reserved only for high end models. We will atleast start using other brands who offer better camera at lower prices. Even the daylight photos are with high pixelation even at 5% zoom, after shooting the scene.
Unless Samsung fixes these two features immediately, this is the worst crap phone at this level.
