When using the the Samsung A50 phone as a phone, the keypad goes dark after 10 seconds. When calling anyone with automated prompts, the screen goes dark before the prompts usually finish. Must hit the power bar to end a call to get to the hangup button. Checked all settings, went to Samsung, went to several on line help sites, was told this might be a battery saving issue. I would like to be able change that setting and to be able set the timeout decision for myself as an option.

It had changed to USB controlled by Connected Devices Instead of USB controlled by This Phone. So the charger was recognized as USB only

Me too, but I think we got both patches together, because camera quality got improved, plus we got night mode and super sliw mo.

I just got the july update ten minutes ago after all ((actually after 3 months)) so it is good for me to see samsung hasnt forgotten about us in middle east but there is a point to care about : july update brought me june update features not the july's . So there is a bad interference in A50 updates with different ROM of countries . I hope to see a consistant way of releasing updates for A50 so then it wont be that much confusing .............

lofibeb, 02 Sep 2019btw what is the display refresh rate for a50? 60 Hz like other midrangers, it is enough for gaming no worries.

just tested it for 1 week...
battery life is really poor, one day lifetime, max 2 days if you DONT USE IT...
i have a HTC 12 that makes it to 3 days with normal usage...
- no front led for notifications...
- cameras are average
- only good thing is the amoled screen
