          But as they are almost similar(exynos slightly better at perf overalll) and judging the current situations, putting faith on SD is a better idea. I agree with that.

And the various battery saving algorithms and routines have a varying degree of influence. OEM implementation plays an important role, too.

            Anyway, all things considered, I trust Qualcomm's SoC solutions much more than Samsung's. And, in this case, where performance is very similar, I'd take the Snapdragon.

              Exynos 980 uses new ARM cortex A77 core where SD 765 uses old cortex A76 core.
              As the cortex A77 in exynos is running on lower frequency than the cortex A76 in SD 765.
              The Exynos 980 will be more power efficient.

                  Anyway, I have already decided on a different phone, one with a Snapdragon 765G chipset (and plastic frame).

Give me glass and plastic. I was looking forward to the Galaxy A51 5G and I wanted to get it, but when I saw the aluminium frame, that was a deal breaker for me. It was a very unpleasant surprise, since the Galaxy A51 uses a plastic frame and I was expecting the same from the 5G version. That's just my preference.

It's in the same performance category as the Snapdragon 765G. That's why I was saying that if I had to choose between the two chipsets, all things considered, I would go for the Snapdragon, no question about it.

But the Snapdrag... moreSP765 is better, especially in gpu performance, but just to correct the mistake of 980 being a flagship processor, it's not, last years flagship exynos was the 9820 they've just changed their naming policy this year by using a 3 digit number.
