I would not buy Xiaomi smartphones! Why?
Some years ago I bought a Xiaomi mobile phone in Europe.
1. My first impression is that it is very light and comfortable in hand. I was not sure it's strong enough.
2. The initial setup was flawless - just copied my Google Android profile from my previous mobile phone and added my favorite Android apps. Google Play was already installed. The Chinese MiStore was almost impossible to use since every app is in Chinese. The choice of sound alarms was good, but also in Chinese.
3. However, I almost immediately discovered a report from the Clean Master antivirus app that Xiaomi comes with two Android viruses pre-installed - Android.Troj.ya_ExpenPush.ac (a jailbroken device can be controlled remotely by hackers) and Android.MALWARE.at_Coudw. b (may lead to leakage of personal information and deduction of money from your account).
I found on the Internet how to download the original Xiaomi OS and the viruses were removed.
4. Performance was sufficient, but RAM was constantly used over 70% even without an application running. There were a huge number of processes in memory (compared to Samsung Android phone) and it was not clear what they were doing - that was also a security warning.
And one more thing - there are about 10 pre-installed applications - several games and unnecessary tools that are already pre-installed and cannot be removed, only disabled.
5. The price including customs duties was higher than other good options on the market, such as Samsung, Huawei, which have proprietary support in Europe. Xiaomi has no customer support and servers in Europe, all the customer support was directly from servers in China.
As a result, I returned the phone and received the money, but without customs duties.

        AsagiX, 18 Oct 2023Why do you think water resistant is waterproof and for dive... moreThis mobile is a budget phone and your comment is exactly right but, I have used the S series which my opinion about it is so good I would say it is better than all phones but the Price is a little high and I have used it until S9 series and still I have S5, s6 and 2 s9 with me but i got a new phone which is Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, and when you compare it to other Budget phone's this completely outperforms but till now S series is the best but when you're on a budget and need a flagship phone get low-class Chinese phone which is better than these Budget phones by the Reputed Company.

                    Also, even if you use this phone less than 2 years the heat from the phone might affecting the seal that protecting phone from water.

                    You wanna use Xiaomi? Go. That low class chinese phone suitable for person like you.

                        The phone spoused to be waterproof... I was swimming with it in the sea and dived to the deepenes of 2 meters. The phone immediately stopped working and not working already for 2 weeks. I bought it less than 2 years ago and I think it dosnt worth the money. Samsung is just another cheap company. Will buy normal phone now, Xiomi which might be the same quality but cheaper or Apple which might be more reliable phone.

                          As of 2023 after 2 years+ using this phone, I have enjoyed my experience with it. Camera is great and sufficient for daily use, my battery lasts the whole day on outings and work even after 2 years of wear. The chipset does seem quite inefficient in today's lineup (ie. gets quite warm even while watching Youtube, I put thermal pads on the graphite heatsink inside to cool it) but still very powerful, good enough to provide a seemless experience. Sad to say that it has reached it's final Android 13 update, but there'll still be security upgrades. Overall, I would not recommend buying this phone new but it is a good deal 2nd hand if you can find it for about $150-170ish. For newer midrange models, I would recommend the Realme 11 Pro, Samsung A34, Honor 70 5G or Oppo Reno 10.

Those SoCs throttle due to overheating. It doesn't matter how fast they are if they can't keep their performance longer than a minute.

I swapped... moreMain reason why glue at the back cover detached is because heat from the phone (depend of how user use of course). Not using the case can be one of the issue but it is not that reason why most people's A52 back cover were detached.
                                        I'm also using the case 98%, reason why Ive god detached is because I often pull out the case for wiping mine.
