I just received OTA for Android 12, OneUI 4.0 for my dual SIM A52 5G. Security patch is bumped to January 1, 2022. It's great update. You can already use the topmost area with the selfie camera hole and configure individual apps to ignore the hole for a truly immersive, edge to edge full screen experience with no space wasted!

If your A52 5G was bought sealed and brand new and you have updated all apps and the software to the latest version and you still have a weird colored screen, a finicky fingerprint scanner or sluggish performance, better ask for a refund. The A52 5G is miles ahead in screen quality and should be significantly better in real world performance compared to the LG G7 because even if the 750G processor is a midrange one, it's mostly better in benchmarks being a newer processor and the real world performance even better since it is driving a much lower resolution screen than the much older snapdragon 845 flagship in the LG G7. The only thing the G7 is better is the fingerprint sensor. Capacitive ones are still more consistent and reliable. Dry fingers are a bane for users using phones with optical scanners since these under display scanners need a reflective fingerprint surface for proper registration (finger needs to be a bit oily/shiny and not dry and flaked to avoid fingerprint ID failure).

Anyway, as I've mentioned, if you're still experiencing those problems even after everything is updated, ask for a refund and get the A52s 5G which is essentially the A52 5G with an even faster, updated processor.

It's part of the nasty bugs I've mentioned that Xiaomi never addressed. It frequently displays 5G even if it is connected to a 4G network! And until now, my Poco F2 Pro is still on November 2021 security patch. And like all other Poco F2 Pro users, mine had a charging problem on the first year of use (which I paid to get fixed, and which Xiaomi never acknowledged despite so many users having the problem).

Bought this yesterday. I am not so sure what's going on, perhaps an antenna issue or something elae but it doesnt seem to keep the 5G signal consistently. placed this phone right next to a cheaper Poco phone with same carrier, and it keeps dropping to 4G or 4G+, while the Poco phone picks the 5G signal consistently

After of a call ending, there is a black screen. Only the power key pressed then the screen is on again. Any solution?

Picked this phone up recently for 200. Currently doesn't have my SIM in it as I'm deliberating whether to go with this or look elsewhere and just keep this as a backup.

I've never seen a 1080p screen look this... odd. Faint outlines around the text, really wonky colors (extremely cool even when I manually turn the blues all the way down, default setting so oversaturated they'll make your eyes puke), though the 120Hz is very nice and appreciated.

The fingerprint sensor... It's just a massive L for this phone. Set it up with my thumb, and immediately it failed to recognize it. Come to realize it only recognize my thumb at the precise angle I registered it at. So if you place your thumb turned a couple degrees this way or that, it fails to read. Truly abysmal, what a basic failure. Not to mention even when it does work, it's pretty slow. Whoever thought under-screen fingerprint sensors should replace capacitive ones because they look more futuristic should be imprisoned. My LG G7 is years out of date and its capacitive scanner on the back of the device is: A) in a more natural spot, B) less expensive to implement, C) doesn't require me to fingerprint my screen, D) reads accurately 100% of the time after setting up my finger once 2 years ago, and E) reads in a tenth of the time this under-screen one takes to read.

Considering it has the exact same amount of RAM and a equal-to-slower CPU than my G7 at least on paper... I might look elsewhere for my new daily driver.

As I write this the phone is currently downloaded the One UI 4.1/Android 12 update. We'll see if this fixes any of the issues I've been having, or if it introduces new ones.

Hussar, 16 Jan 2022this phone or x3 pro? I have been offered for this phone ... moreXiaomi X3 Pro has faster processor and is cheaper too, but MIUI 12.5 is just too buggy compared to OneUI and software updates from Xiaomi are just terribly slow so you'll be left with the bugs and an old security patch for a long time.
Also, there are lots of software features ONEUI has that MIUI doesn't offer.

James, 14 Jan 2022Mine doesn't superfast charge with anything else but t... moreIt's compatible with super fast chargers from other brands, at least with Baseus. I have Baseus type C car cigarette slot charger and Baseus 30W and Basus 100w wall chargers: all support super fast charging with the A52 using a type C to type C cable PD3.0 (60W/100W) certified cable from UGreen.

You should pay particular attention to the type C to type C cable and the charging adapter. A lot of low quality products (charging cables and wall adapters) claim to be PD3.0, 30W/60W/100W capable but they're actually not. Things to look out for are cable thickness and quality as well as a wall adapter that should have a single type C slot rated at least 30W. Some 30W adapters have two slots but the 30W is shared on both slots rendering super fast charging with the A52 impossible. You only get fast charging (18W).

Hussar, 16 Jan 2022this phone or x3 pro? I have been offered for this phone ... moreX3 Pro 4G is mainly for high graphics/gaming phone with high refresh ips lcd & big battery at an affordable price.

A52 5G has weaker soc but better camera & amoled screen, mainly aimed for day to day use/those who likes some basic photography/selfies for instagram but more expensive due to being samsung.

Thank God this doesn't released in Indonesia.
                                  I get the A52S instead.
