Found a bug after may patch + apps updated. EU software. Device care/battery doesn't work properly. After tap It's checking... then nothing. It seems this applies to other than English language setting. It works normally on English. FYI, my first bug.

Ayinde Abraham, 16 May 2022Samsung Galaxy A52s or Samsung Galaxy A53 which is betterA52s is better, except software support. A52s mostly has better chip, headphone jack and you get charger in the box (unlike A53). A53 has better software support (up to Android 16 and 5 years of security patches).

Anonymous, 15 May 2022If you aren't a gamer avoid Poco and go for Samsung. But, I'm not a gamer . I'm just an average Monday to Friday fella that takes pictures of every day good food, city scapes, party with friends (maybe twice a year), travelling to other places (once a year) and the usual stuff. So, I still do want a phone with natural, true-to-life, slightly saturated photos with good stabilisation, great audio, above average performance and true all-day battery life.

Ayinde Abraham, 16 May 2022Samsung Galaxy A52s or Samsung Galaxy A53 which is betterI chose the A52S with 8/256GB as it's got SD 778G instead of an Exynos chipset. Some reviewers say that Exynos on A53 is bad and underwhelming so keep that in mind.

Ayinde Abraham, 16 May 2022Samsung Galaxy A52s or Samsung Galaxy A53 which is betterA53 with exynos 1280 is worse than this SD 778G in may ways & has also been mentioned in A53's review here in gsmarena. A52s is a fantastic phone at this price range.

I don't play on it much so I can't really say how good it is for games, but playing MLBB in it for me has been great overall. It heats up quite a bit but I don't really mind.
HDR capabilities is a nice feature and it can create a huge boost in your viewing experience but I haven't found a way to utilize HDR on mine so I can't really tell you about that experience on my part.
I wish this display could go for 1000+ nits though, as 800 nits just isn't enough sometimes in the bright outdoors.

I am going to buy this phone. Its very low price here in uae with ip67 headfone jack 5g.
I am worried about SD778G. How is its performance. Does it have any lagging with 8G RAM?
Also there is no HDR. Is HDR very important?
I know some will suggest me s20fe. I dont like that bcause of dim brightness

Anonymous, 16 May 2022Poco F3 is better in therms of gaming, and haptic feedback ... moreThe Poco has a SD 870 and a slightly bigger display. (and it has 20 milliamp more battery capacity but who cares) You do get the sweet experience of One UI 4.1 though and an arguably better camera.

I've heard from many that the Galaxy A52s 5G still has better front & rear main cameras than my first choice Poco F3. But is the latest One UI version further improves the cameras? How about the performance. Are you guys still noticing some throttling? Or has the performance been a lot better since?

Well 70% of battery (my usual) with fast takes about the same time as full charge with (your) superfast (hour something). So far I'm okay with this. I'll see if it's worth to let Sammy charge ME for faster changing. If there are really only slow chargers in some boxes, it's a must. Now I'm not sure if anybody gets 25W or that info is just wrong due to general confusion in charging speeds. Either way, thanks for posting.

The current phone i use has a limted hardware support for API2, therefore i cannot download filmic pro on it and i cannot use the full features of opencam. Did you try to run "camera2 probe" app on your device to check the level of hardware support? (are you able to use filmic pro)

PS: There are different levels of hardware support for camera on android. Which one do you have on the A52s. I you don't know please try to download camera2 probe and run it. The levels are listed below

Camera API2 interfaces reports one of the following support levels:

LEGACY: These devices expose capabilities to apps through the Camera API2 interfaces that are approximately the same capabilities as those exposed to apps through the Camera API1 interfaces. The legacy frameworks code conceptually translates Camera API2 calls into Camera API1 calls; legacy devices don't support Camera API2 features such as per-frame controls.
LIMITED: These devices support some Camera API2 capabilities (but not all) and must use Camera HAL 3.2 or higher.
FULL: These devices support all of the major capabilities of Camera API2 and must use Camera HAL 3.2 or higher and Android 5.0 or higher.
LEVEL_3: These devices support YUV reprocessing and RAW image capture, along with additional output stream configurations.
EXTERNAL: These devices are similar to LIMITED devices with some exceptions; for example, some sensor or lens information may not be reported or have less stable frame rates. This level is used for external cameras such as USB webcams
