Anonymous, 03 Sep 2023Is the Exynos 1280 really that bad? I'm planning on bu... moreNot really, it was at launch that wasn't optimized where it lagged like a snapdragon 680, now it's much better, it's about 10% better than snapdragon 765g and 15% worse than dimensity 1080.
Most of the hate is because it's an Exynos chip and that scares people so you can see people complaining about overheating when it barely heats in normal use and just get warm while playing heavy games, and even that, the exynos 1280 has less throttle and heating than a SD778g for example. In battery it's good, since it got more optimized now gets like 1.5 or 2 hours more sot than the A52s or A73 which both used SD778g.
Or you can see people complaining even without trying a phone with the chip

Nouwe, 03 Sep 2023Galaxy A53 for 240€ or Galaxy A34 for 360$? A53 for 240, you're saving yourself 120 bucks which you can add to the next time you buy a phone after 5 years when your A53 breaks down. Get yourself a flagship, I still prefer A53 over A34 because of the price difference, difference in performance is not much. But, if I'd get A54 for 240 then, I'd take that

Anonymous, 03 Sep 2023Is the Exynos 1280 really that bad? I'm planning on bu... moreIf you do not game, it's a decent phone if you turn off ramplus and disable/remove the bloatware. It's not as laggy it was before, it's improved a lot! I get about 6:30 SOT which includes an hour and a half of youtube.
It's optimized for daily use, but still clutters ocassionally. But I don't really mind those as they are ocassional. Also, if you're using a flagship (like I was using F1 before I had this) then you will notice delay it's bout a milisecond, but still noticable. You do get adjusted to it after a while. Gaming sucks, you can still game but the device heats a lot as a result you loose performance.
If you do not want all this bullshit, then just get yourself an S21 FE which was recently available for around the same price as a sale, that's a real steal. A54 offers updates (good ones ) over A53 but 1380 is just like an overclocked 1280. A53 currently as better battery, which might change soon.

Ferdinand, 13 Aug 2023Guys I just re-downloaded Genshin Impact after after a year... moreNice contribution 👍
I'll do something similar, there is a website called nanoreview were you can see chipsets specs and comparison, in some chipsets you can see the FPS and graphics settings of some games, the Exynos 1280 doesn't have the information about that so I'll do myself. Since Idk how to use the tool you used (gamebench) I'll use the in-built GPUWatch of Samsung
PUBG Mobile: About 50-60 FPS in the highest settings, I used a GFX tool app to unlock the highest settings since the game settings were capped by default
Call Of Duty Mobile: About 55-60 FPS in high settings (not the highest setting though) in multiplayer and about 30-40 FPS in battle royale
Fortnite: About 20-35 FPS in the highest settings
Shadowgun Legends: About 50-60 FPS in the highest settings
World of Tanks Blitz: About 70-110 FPS in the highest settings
Genshin Impact: About 20-40 FPS in the highest settings
Mobile Legends: About 50-60 FPS in the highest settings
I'll try to submit this to the nanoreview website team
