Rajinders, 09 Apr 20234.9 Trillion operations per second is quite a way lower tha... moreThe only area where this 2023 Exynos 1380 made parity with 2021 SD 778G is in the CPU core performance. In all other departments whether GPU, ISP, AI etc 2021 SD 778G still leads in both performance and capabilities. Its a shame that Samsung calling A54 a premium mid-range when it hardly matches the 2021 SD 778G equipped phones like the A52s and asks a premium price. If this was branded as an A34 then it would have made more sense even though I won't touch an Exynos.

TechGeek132, 09 Apr 2023Guys. Can we please put this Exynos debate aside for now? ... moreCost cutting is justified because they are selling this phone for half the price of the flagships (atleast in my country). This phone already gives you all the software features of the S series. Otherwise what would be the difference?

Guys. Can we please put this Exynos debate aside for now?
The Exynos 1380 is a fine processor for the average user. It's great in day to day usage.
What's not fine are the technicalities.
The Exynos 1380 uses the Samsung 5LPE node, which is roughly on par with TSMC N6, and far behind N5 or N4.
Further, the 1380 relies on older generation cores (Cortex A78,A55, Mali G68) when they could have instead used the newer gen A715 or A710, A510 and Mali G615/G610 gpu. Also- the NPU in the E1380 has a measly 4.9 TOPS of performance. That's pathetic compared to the 778G's 12 TOPS. It's clear that Samsung is cost cutting with regards to the Exynos 1380 chip. And that's a shame.

There is a Rumour that Samsung used USF 3.1 in A54 for model no. Galaxy A54 5G (SM-A546B) (Europe countries) and used UFS 2.2 for model no. Galaxy A54 5G (SM-A546E) (for India).

It's funny how most websites actually consider this a very good phone with a lot of benefits, ive watched some videos about it too and they all commend this phone, the exynos chipset may not be better than Snapdragon but it's still very good for everyday use like gaming and twitter and whatnot. You all just have an agenda against exynos because it failed in the past. How can any of you say the exynos 1380 is bad when pretty much almost none of you have tried it or tested it. All these geekbench scores don't matter, the phone is fast with its chipset and offers so many features Xaomi and other Chinese phones dont

For people who are here to find out whether this phone is actually worth it or not, I would recommend watching Flossy Carter's 'Samsung Galaxy A54 5G - "Real Review"' on YouTube, his review is actually done better then most video reviews ive seen of phones. Its different from the generic shots of person using phone. Its an overall very good phone. Since its Samsung it will drop in price (although price isnt a problem in my region). He greatly outlines all the features and shows the performance in normal usage such as twitter and gaming. The phone actually performs very well with the Exynos and is a very strong contender for best mid range of the year. I recommend watching his review for your choice rather then reading comments from armchair experts on here who have never actually tested the phone themselves. Overall I think i will be buying this one
