Glji, 11 Jan 2023For future buyers, Buy A73 instead of A54 . A54 is exynos, ... moreNot a73, but A52S. Because of headphone jack and microSD slot. It's got 778g too.

Biggest complaint will be the chipset. 1280 is on par with the A11 (almost 7 years ago.) 1380 may catch up to the 4yr old A13,

Instead of using an sluggish Exynos chip they should have used 7 Gen 1. It would've been fair in this price range.

DarlingYext, 10 Jan 2023Virtual proximity sensing and huge bezels. What an upgrade, wow.Samsung actually never used real proximity sensors in all of their phones since the M series, including the flagships as well

Rickbio, 10 Jan 2023To all those people suggesting A52s still, I would not get ... morenot all people care about updates
new updates doesnt always means better experience, its back to user preference
if we speaking about android version, for most user, they dont feel big different from each android-core update
try ask people : what different from android 12 and 13 ? see if they can correctly answer, rather that answered wrong things such that changes/updates from one.UI
spec wise, its still really good, 778G performance is top in mid-class soc, it should last many years ahead, rest of spec is good enough also (120hz display, 64mp main cam, 8gb ram) as bonus there is microsd + earphone jack that become rare in smartphone nowadays
then last, price also cheaper, so yeah there A52s is still good value phone now

Phantom., 10 Jan 2023Why? All specs seem good tbfA52/s used the Snapdragon 750G and 778G respectively, both were TSMC manufactured and were at the time class-leading chipsets
A53 used the Exynos 1280 and at least on paper, it should've been toe to toe with the 778G, but nope, in Geekbench the 778G got 775/2840 the Exynos got 742/1890 inexcusable when you factor that on top of that bad score the Exynos is manufactured by Samsung, meaning it'll not only draw more power but throttle performance on top of that.
So sure, the A54 might have a great display, flashy camera and dare I say the sleekest design on a mid-ranger I've seen so far this year, but it still inherits the core problems of having an Exynos chip.
