justasmile, 01 Sep 2023That doesn't mean it's the same applied on 2200.Same applied to the Exynos 2200 in CPU.

Anonymous, 31 Aug 2023That is because these phones cut in other cornersAs if Samsung doesn't. Take the huge bezels for example. The Galaxy A73 from last year had specs very similar to this phone but with way less bezel area at the same price.

Disregarding the bezels, the screen itself is a major corner cut. It's an 8-bit AMOLED (which is laughable at this price) that goes up to a 1000 nits in brightness, refreshes at 120Hz and has HDR10+.

The Poco F5 offers a 12-bit 120Hz AMOLED screen with HDR10+ AND Dolby Vision while still retaining 1000 nits of brightness and offering way thinner bezels.

The OnePlus Nord 3 offers a 10-bit AMOLED with HDR10+ and one-ups the A54 with 1450 nits of brightness.

The Motorola Edge 40, while it is only an 8-bit P-OLED, gives a 144Hz refresh rate for extra smooth scrolling to complement its premium curved display, along with 1200 nits of brightness and HDR10+.

The Honor 90's 120Hz OLED screen also gets the curved display treatment but it sacrifices the extra 24Hz that the Motorola has for a 10-bit color output and a class-leading 1600 nits of brightness in this price segment, along with, you guessed it, HDR10+.

All of these phones are priced around the A54 or even lower.

The charger/charging speed is also a cost cutting measure, specifically a 25W charger that doesn't even come in the box. The rest all offer 66W/67W chargers except the Nord 3, which offers an 80W charger. All of them also come in the box.

Samsung made an objectively worse phone and there are no excuses to be made.

justasmile, 31 Aug 2023Show me proof to support your claim Ok.
let's take the Exynos 2100 as an example:
              Leaked clock speed:
"Based on past leaks the Exynos 2100 is expected to come with the X1 prime core clocked at up to 2.91 GHz alongside a trio of Cortex-A78 cores running at 2.81GHz and four power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores working at 2.21GHz. The A78 and A55 cores, in particular, are clocked slightly above the ones found on the Snapdragon 888 which should explain some marginal gains but we’ll have to wait for official results once the chipset is announced."

              Final clock speed:
Samsung Exynos 2100 – an 8-core chipset that was announced on December 12, 2020, and is manufactured using a 5-nanometer process technology. It has 1 core Cortex-X1 at 2910 MHz, 3 cores Cortex-A78 at 2810 MHz, and 4 cores Cortex-A55 at 2200 MHz.
