the E1380 doesn't hold back the A54.

He reset the phone after some time and now the data in accubattery isn't fully accurate for the same, also he only used the S22U Qualcomm for do the tests, but if you compare in similar conditions Exynos always give more battery.
Also updates can have worsened the Exynos S22U in the January update.
"Exynos 2200 S22ultra user here since last year launch and these are my scores following the july update: Geekbench6 S 1606 M 3943,(OpenCL) 9056, (AntutuV10) 1104227,(Stress test 15min) Down to 60%, (Wildlife extreme) Best: 2012, Lowest: 1299, Stability: 65%. Better battery than previous updates however less gpu performance than last month and better cpu than last month. Worse battery than june update however better battery than may and previous, gets hotter as well"
Qualcomm still the worst crap chipset, it only was able to beta by a little margin only because of better battery health.

People ignore the fact that there is the Dimensity 1080 that is used in a lot of 2023 midrange phones offer worse performance than both Snapdragon 778g and Exynos 1380 but I don’t see anyone crying about that and only the hate is towards the Exynos 1380

As you can see, the Exynos 1380 still trails behind 2021 mid-range SD 778G in most scenarios by a small margin.
-The only thing holding back A54 is its Exynos otherwise its a good phone for the segment.
-When you pay this much money, performance shouldn't be at par with a 2021 mid range phone.
-It just works, that's all one can say about A54 with Exynos with little future proofing headroom.

The fact is there isn't a worse junk than Exynos be it Flagship or Mid-range or Entry level, it is the worst choice one can get.

justasmile, 09 Aug 2023Yeah, a 5nm by Samsung. Would throttle more.I read 1380 is ltx etching process, not like the previous 1280 which was lte. They improved significantly their etching, so it shouldn't throttle as much, and by a factor.
A54 Looks great to me overall but sadly, the worst flickering I know. At least on my a53 and the a54 display looks very, very similar. Not even a DC diming. Why Samsung... Even at apple, you double the pwm frequency displays you sell to them...

Qualcomm 778G only comes with a tie in CPU performance, otherwise Exynos is faster in GPU by 3D mark, and also have better ISP/connectivity and better efficiency, I would say that the S54 processor doesn't hold back Exynos, also the Exynos 1380 is an good upgrade over previous processors for the A5X line.
Good for Samsung improving and making good Exynos processors for the mid-range segment now.
