For....
Camera and multimedia...not gaming...

Folks - I tell you from an avid long-time Samsung loyalist - (No More), DONT FALL for Samsung phones.! They always get you after the 1-year warranty, then the screens would fail either sudden green-lines or just simply BSOD. In any case, it will surely foot you more money to pay for the screen replacement. SAMSUNG phones are a SHAM\Scams !

What is good with samsung is that there's years of security updates and i still have a 10 year old phone that my uncle & my mom both used for years and it still turns on and off and gets call/messages etc. The storage and quality is bad tho.
Also there is a return policy and 2 years security in the store i'm buying it from, so even after a year or two if there's a problem i can still change it or get it fixed i believe.
Thinking of buying one tomorrow, if i don't find any other options. For now every other phone is expensive

but battery life is as good, I compared with accubattery for days, it's the same, so heating is not related to battery drain there, fine for me.
Then, keeping it for 4-5 years, as mentioned in another post, I would buy a more powerful proc for that long term use. a54 should be ok if not gaming a lot, and I block updates also. but saying it'll still be ok for apps in 4-5 years, probably not.
I suppose it's better to try anyway, if return policy.

i'm thinking about buying it tomorrow, my phone is getting on my nerves. Does the a54 lag when opening apps like social media? my phone does it a lot but its 5-4 year old phone..

One even broke down : charging circuit broke down, using original charger. also Xiaomi messed up last years. by a lot, with MIUI, imho. I very don't like their privaware adware clunky MIUI. Maybe ok with custom ROM but who do that anymore ? It's terrible process to gain root access with Xiaomi/poco.
Have heating issue with 54 recently. unconfortable, and so battery drains out. Weather is hot last days, I'll wait to check and see. I'll return it to seller if it keeps heating like that.

It's good for me for wifi web, chat, social media, gps, 5g, don't have the data but very good sot.
But when video call, like messenger, yay, terrible battery. I checked, 4 cores full blown. I incriminate the new cores architecture of 1380 right now, will try older version and messenger and compare with other phones

I also game for like 2 hrs (e.g. asphalt 9 60fps). I use all types of apps regularly. I have adaptive refresh rate and adaptive brightness enabled .Your phone might be faulty,i guess. I have been using for more than a month now.

The A54 is OK regarding performance. Battery is the worst of all my recent phones. It lasts one day with very light usage. Even without a single call or app opened the battery does'nt stand for more than one day. The Samsung service did'nt find anything faulty with the phone or the battery. I can't return it, since i've bought it 4 months ago. Any idea to improve battery life?

After 3 weeks and 4 days of use, I accidentally dropped my phone in traffic while getting out of a taxi and the only thing that broke was the right and left sides because IT WAS PLASTIC. I'm at a loss as to why not just layer the whole thing with the same Gorilla Glass 5 as on the screen and back of this phone! Now I can't enjoy the smooth side of the phone anymore and this is the reason why I didn't buy the case together.

Been using mine for 5 months, having sime jettiring issues sometimes but over all performance is great & battery life S well😉
