When I first got home in the first week, playing games would heat it up a lot. However, after three weeks, it hardly heats up, thanks to understanding my usage.

Not a good phone. Don't buy. Unnecessarily expensive. Performance is not at par with its price. Laggy in everything and has network issues.

AvgpPhPhoneUser, 10 Sep 2023huh my s9+ started having green lines after 4 years what is... moreThe solid green-line is a hardware problem defect from AMOLED screens. I did tons of research and the only way around it is to replace the entire screen. I took my Samsung S21+ to local Samsung Service Ctr near me last Tues, and today they sent me txt msg that they are still working on it. In regards to being charge on it, I admonish in the strongest term that it was caused by the June 1 patch update that got applied recently. So now I am waiting for them to update me the cost of repair, still being determined by their head-office here in Phils - will update on that outcome

These are some of the research on this issue. Samsung phones will no longer be option for me on future buys .... they know about this defect and let it happen so that when the standard warranty no longer applies - they want ALL of us to pay up.

When I played around 1.3 hours of MLBB, the phone didn't heat up as much as it did when I was actively playing the game before the season reset. Now, with the season reset approaching, I haven't been playing as much, which has resulted in the phone heating up more during gaming.

Anonymous, 09 Sep 2023I have a shop and in my shop poco f5 and a54 have almost sa... moreI see the F5 as a better value, but the UI immediately turns me off. I noticed the F5 was on sale here in the PH for around 9k,(sale was during 9.9 btw) prior to me buying the A54 but in the end, I couldn't deal with a subpar UI for 3-4 years. So, I decided to go with Samsung because One UI is a very nice user interface. This phone was originally intended to be the A73, but I had to evaluate whether I should buy last year's model or the newest generation. Considering the price difference was 1.5k I just had to spend it on the newest one over the last year.

(Camera review will come in 3-4months with more ultra wide usage over main and a few updates on main camera - by me btw)

just bought the a54. any tips or advices from users?

shocked to see it's smaller than my xiaomi redmi note 5 when its 5"99 while the a54 is 6"4 and supposed to be bigger but it's not a huge problem. No charger, thought it'll be okay since i have plenty at home turns out none of them match the a54 so i have to buy another one.

it's pretty fast for now and heats up a bit but i just turned it on, I think it's getting use to my usage and it's normal. I'm not using it for now, i'm keeping my older one till last week.

                                      i'll take any tips
