Qualcomm 778G only comes with a tie in CPU performance, otherwise Exynos is faster in GPU by 3D mark, and also have better ISP/connectivity and better efficiency, I would say that the S54 processor doesn't hold back Exynos, also the Exynos 1380 is an good upgrade over previous processors for the A5X line.
Good for Samsung improving and making good Exynos processors for the mid-range segment now.

justasmile, 08 Aug 2023Those extra points are thanks to useless bits and tons of u... moreThe difference between SD 778g and EX 1380 is relatively small (especially benchmark wise) and EX 1380 does have better battery due to it having 5nm architecture. Its good to note that Snapdragon chipsets are also more optimized than exynos so it will also depend on the use case.
But its disappointing to see a older SOC matching and sometimes even beating a newer more expensive chip.

Anonymous, 08 Aug 2023Guys which is better value a34 or 54 (I don't mind the... moreWell it depends on your need obviously, if your a gamer or plays a lot of heavy games your better off with a34 due it having dimensity 1080 (dimensity 1080 is more widely use hence it is more optimized on more games)
While on casual or even social media use i think a54 will do better due to it most likely having slightly better camera and daily use on the one UI software due it being optimized more for the UI it self, but on day to day uses the performance difference will not be seen due to the both processors are almost the same performance wise.
So at the end of the day its up to you what you want there are no really bad choice if you want that phone just make sure you know what your getting, so better do more research.

tha123, 08 Aug 2023How about your screen on time (SOT)? Mine is 5 hours with c... moreIve been using this phone and I haven't really expirienced something similar to that on a light/normal use i get 10hrs+ and while on games (depending on what game) i get 8hrs below which a good screen time already, you just need to make sure that some apps like facebook, tiktok etc. Is not running in the background unless you need them to.
The one thing i want to note is the charging are not good compared to other brand at this price point well to be honest hardware wise you can find 2x better specs on this device with a lower price, you don't need to search for that long to find a device from Xiaomi, Infinix, Tecno or other brand that defeats the hardware of this device, the charging speed mostly at this price point is 33w above and some even have 68w while being much cheaper.
The biggest and the only benifit i can even think of that samsung have is that it does have a great software specially compared to Infinix. If you want your device to be very reliable you better go with Samsung but if you want to have a powerful phone while also being cheaper while also not caring that much on software better go with other brands.

tha123, 08 Aug 2023How about your screen on time (SOT)? Mine is 5 hours with c... moreOn my side i haven't seen this problem im getting 9 to 11 hours on normal light use but while gaming i get below 8 hours of screen time i also haven't gotten and heating issues unless i played a demanding game like genshin.
But i hope the charging is better specially for its price point my phone charges from 20 to 90 in 1hr+ so its not the most impressive specially knowing other phone brands can offer 68w in a lower pricepoint.
The biggest benifit of this phone is its software not the hardware.

https://versus.com/en/qualcomm-snapdragon-7... moreThose extra points are thanks to useless bits and tons of unknown info. Performance-wise, it is no match for Snapdragon 778G.
Anyway, keep deluding yourself, like how you think Exynos 2200 is better than Snapdragon 8 gen 2, and with your accomplice 'blue'.

But it has way worse performance than 8 gen 1 as it has been under clocked for the phones.

I recently had the opportunity to explore the [Phone Model] featured on GSM Arena, and I must say, I'm quite impressed. The phone's design is sleek and modern, with a comfortable feel in the hand. The display quality truly stands out, offering vibrant colors and sharp resolution that makes multimedia consumption a joy.
The camera performance is another highlight of this device. The dual-lens setup captures detailed and well-balanced shots, even in challenging lighting conditions. I was pleasantly surprised by the low-light capabilities, which produced clear and noise-free photos.
Performance-wise, the Samsung GalaxyA54 didn't disappoint either. The snappy processor, coupled with ample RAM, ensured smooth multitasking and effortless navigation through apps and menus. I found myself immersed in demanding games without experiencing any noticeable lag.
Battery life is often a concern for many users, and I'm happy to report that the Samsung GalaxyA54 held up admirably. I managed to get through a full day of moderate usage without needing to rush for a charger. The fast charging feature also came in handy, providing a quick power boost when time was of the essence.
The software experience was intuitive and user-friendly. The Samsung GalaxyA54's UI is clean and customizable, offering a range of features that enhance the overall usability. Updates and optimizations seem to be well-handled, promising a smooth and evolving user experience over time.
While no device is without its drawbacks, the Samsung GalaxyA54 certainly manages to outweigh them with its strengths. If you're in the market for a feature-packed smartphone that delivers on performance, camera quality, and battery life, I would definitely recommend considering the Samsung GalaxyA54. It's a solid contender in its price range and has the potential to leave a lasting impression.
Overall, my experience with the Samsung GalaxyA54 has been positive, and I believe it's a step in the right direction for the brand. Kudos to the team for putting together a well-rounded device that ticks all the right boxes.

Exynos 1380 still trails behind 2021 mid-range SD 778G in most scenarios by a small margin.
https://tenzystech.com/soc-compare/qualcomm-snapdragon-778g-vs-samsung-exynos-1380.
-The only thing holding back A54 is its Exynos otherwise its a good phone for the segment.
-When you pay this much money, performance shouldn't be at par with a 2021 mid range phone.
-It just works, that's all one can say about A54 with Exynos with little future proofing headroom.
