The A54 costs 320-350€ (128gb) in Germany (Vat in Germany: 19% included). Poco F5 8/256GB 380-400€, but the official German xiaomi store offers several discounts (like coupons). Right know I could get it for 350€

Plus its a 2021 phone so it loses a lot on software support, so thats a factor and performance wise its better, but not noticeably.

I decided to upgrade from my S9+ because I was content with it, but the poor battery life and the appearance of lines on the screen made me realize that I needed to upgrade. The cost of replacing the screen was estimated at 5k PHP, and I was concerned that it might be replaced with an LCD screen instead of the original AMOLED display. And finding a decent battery for a old flagship phone is hard

Alex, 06 Jul 202312x is better than F5, awoid Sony or samsungI would avoid the Sony 10 MK5 due to its disappointing 695 chip, even though there were rumors suggesting it would use the Snap 6 Gen 1. On the other hand, the 12x is a nice phone if you can tolerate the subpar UI software. It has the ability to record 8K at 24fps and features a 5MP telephoto lens. However, software updates for it seem to be lacking since it was released 2021.

Many people desire a decent camera in a mid-range phone and cannot afford to spend a significant amount on a flagship-tier camera. Nowadays, phones are not solely focused on specs; it's more about how far they can push the camera system while maintaining a smaller sensor and compact body.

Also all xiaomi flagships, 12, 12x etc. have horrible battery life. Good chip but doesnt matter when you cant use it because you have no battery.

Why is everyone recommending the Poco F5 when its 100-150€ more? Of course its better if it costs that much more. And you're forced to use MIUi, and even worse, the Poco version for it.

Xiaomi 12 has a flagship chipset unlike A54, however overheats more.
Xiaomi 12 has 2 year software updates and 3 year security (because it was launched in 2022) while A54 has 4 year software and 5 year security updates.
Xiaomi 12 has a curved screen (it's a bad thing, maybe not for you, but for most) unlike A54.
Xiaomi 12 has a metal frame unlike A54.
Xiaomi 12 has better main cameras, A54 can record 4k on front camera
Xiaomi 12 is smaller than A54
12 has faster charging but worse battery life than A54.
I'll let you decide which is the winner.

Naviluxi, 02 Jul 2023Believe it or not I'm about to buy my first Samsung ev... moreGo for A54... a54 is significantly powerful than a34 especially in resource hungry apps...i currently own a54...also the battery life is superior to a34...i am getting almost 11 hours sot from 100-20% even with heavy usage except that i dont game..cameras are also vastly superior in a54...dont get me wrong. A34 is also a pretty decent device but if you pit it against a54, then a34 simply doesnt stand a chance..
