Getting rid of the plastic back is a HUGE step forward for the A-class. Knox too. However:
1) No optical zoom. WHY ???
2) No 3.5 mm jack. WHY ???
3) No FM radio. Because of 2) !!!

Yeah, the cooling system is a vital thing. But having a metal frame the device is heavier, bulkier and bigger. And the price is already double. That's why I bought a54.

Samsung why don't you use mt dimensity or snapdragon chipset instead of using exynos????and yet the new phone still cannot support fast charging right now.

mahert, 12 Mar 2024speaking about Samsung Galaxy S23 FE and based on my friend... moreI had the A52s and loved it. Upgraded it to the S23 FE. Honestly it is far better than the A52s. Even has 8k 24fps video recording and 4k60 fps. A55 does not have that. Also, I am not saying anything terrible about the A55 but in actual fact the cortex A78 cores are the same kind of cores used in the A52s. The S23 FE has a Cortex X2 core and even its middle cores are newer than the A78. The AMD gpu will no doubt also be better than the one in the A55 as it was designed as a flagship gpu and not as a midrange gpu. The S23 FE also has a much bigger vapour chamber to try to combat the heat issues the s22 series had.
That being said though, I am not at all saying the S23 FE is a perfect phone, not at all. Just that it would be more future proof than the A55 and also the AI goodies of the S24 series is confirmed to be coming to the S23 series, which includes the S23 FE, whereas the A series will not be getting it.
To each his own I guess though

- first of all case is made of brushed aluminum. I don't like the fact that the case is made of brushed aluminum. Shiny Aluminum Metal looks much cooler
- there is alot of complains about Exynos 2200 temperature and heat problem, my friend got heat issue while he was using camera, this issue should be solved on A55
-The battery drains quickly at 120hz
--When the screen increases the brightness to maximum under the sun, the colors explode. When you increase the brightness yourself, this is not a problem. Frankly, I think it is a software issue
-Speaking of software, let me mention that, there are small errors, but they are not things that will hinder or disturb your work
-camer performance good with daylight but super average with nigh shoot
-S23 FE still have 3 major software update while A55 have 4
make ur own research too, i am A52s owner and i am about to change to A55, i am not risk taker guy i want phone with zero problem, i am a Honda civic guy after all and i adore reliability 😂😂😂

Still with the incredibly inefficient virtual proximity sensing.
I own A73 and this A55 is still a NO with such basic functionality being a buggy virtual proximity sensing, I already experienced this on A52s and accidental touches in pockets and recurrent hard to dismiss "touch protection mode" alert being activated even when out of pocket/bag.

Most people that buy these types of phones don't really care about the specs as well. Also, there are other brands that makes mid range phones like xiaomi or oneplus.
