kkjay, 21 Mar 2024For anyone who has moved from an A52s to this A55, is there... moreApart from the better-built quality, every upgrade is in reverse gear. Please don't upgrade from your legendary A52s 5G. I bought the A54 5G after A52 4G, I regretted every minute of my purchase. The Exynos are just oven all the time, getting hot even with normal day-to-day tasks. Animation lags all the time, battery is even worse. And the A55 is no different. Just stick your A52s and wait for a Samsung which will offer a Snapdragon chipset.

Basically, if you already have an A54... don't change it.
It's the same phone (few minor differences, that you won't notice).

I don't understand how they are thinking , Galaxy M54 which not as good as A series has hardware proximity sensing and they still make virtual proximity for A series , generation after generation

Hzzif, 19 Mar 2024Don't get me wrong, Samsung's flagship are my fav... moreI agree with you both. If we look at galaxy A series playing field, it does not participate in the chinese manufacturer sprint game. Instead, it entered the marathon - long distance and paced. The A series have a 7-year or so marathon of technology selection to be released to the mass consumer. We can observe they try to release two hardware upgrades plus about two software or two functionality upgrades at every new release (although were less consistent recently).
Due to the A series SYSTEMATIC BUT SLOW technology adoption, we soon realise that waiting for the right galaxy A model may take two or three years, or more. I wouldn't put much hope on the A series either.
True, the S devices have a diferent plot.

3.5 mm hole, IR blaster and the telephoto lens instead of Macro lens are still keeping this phone away from becoming the 'Phone for Everybody' ... Add these features and sell at this price, It will outsell any phone worldwide—my advice to Samsung.

Tonite I went to a Samsung Experience Store and got a feel for the A55. it felt big and wide and uncomfortable to hold as it's edges dig into your palm (just under the thumb) it felt so cheap compared to the S24 in terms of grip and comfort. Just that aspect alone swayed me from buying the A55.
IF you are into Samsung as I am (currently still using the S8+, the S10+ Performance edition and A33 5G). Just comparing the A35 to the A33 (of 2022) on the spec sheet CLEARLY it is not a worthwhile upgrade ESPECIALLY as the price of the used 8/256 is only HALF of it's original launch price. Just keep the damn thing LOL.
After 3 incremental changes into the A35 there is no real reason to upgrade, especially since the A33 will still be receiving 4 Android Upgrades.
The Ridiculous Price that the A35 commands is clearly absurd and the same applies to the A55 (extremely overpriced). Better OFF buying a new S23
